Like many others, Chip Karagulleyan has become one of the most recognizable players in poker due to his appearances on the World Poker Tour. He is from Beruit Lebanon and began gambling at age 10 and was formerly a taxi driver and baker.

he won the 2003 L.A. Poker Classic and he gets a profile on here. I've never seen this guy win another tournament. I can't stand this twitching bastard and his over confidence.

his play was ridiculous. He was raising 7% of his chips with J3 off suit. Agressive play helps heads up, but come on. His play was ridiculous and he only won through luck. Hon Le is much more experienced, but caught a terrible run of cards. Chris should be congratulated for winning the tournament, but not deified.

Chris played well. What is wrong with strategically delaying your action in a poker tournament? Becoming a rock when you are chip leader is smart, you are advancing your likelihood of placing in the money without any risk.

Chris is a very lucky player. After beating Kathy's A K with his A A he just turned into a massive rock until he went heads up. When Chris said " I knew i would win because I'm the best" ... I knew I would never see him at another final table in my life his weak poker skill is no match for any real player. HE WILL NEVER MAKE ANOTHER FINAL TABLE. He doesn't "change gears like nobody else" he was just waiting to finish in the top money because he had a monster chip stack. Once again he will never make another final table, WPT or WSOP.

He's a great player. I could't believe how he went from rock to lava against Hon Le. But if he was really losing 30-40k in fifteen minutes when he was starting out, I don't think he was really a cab driver--he's just some pretty rich kid. He'd be a good candidate for Queer Eye for the casino guy, if he's as gay as he seems. That would be a saving grace.
