mcqueen was scammed in that final hand by fingers and the Man. poor bugger

ok, so in the final hand Fingers came along and substituted for the dealer. then steve mcqueen is dealt a full house and the "Man" is dealt a queen high straight flush, doesnt that seem like fingers was cheating.also, if you read the book it seems that the point of the story is that steve mcqueen was never going to beat the Man, it was fate that he was going to loose to him. He was only always going to be second best.
