Born in 1970, Robert Williamson III is a professional poker player from Dallas, Texas.
Williamson grew up in Texas and began playing poker around age 10, after being introduced to the game by his father. He went on to receive college degrees in finance and real estate from Angelo State University in San Angelo. A former real estate investor and ticket scalper, Williamson is known as a specialist in Omaha poker, with 10 WSOP cashes just in Omaha events.
He has WSOP bracelets, 22 WSOP cashes, and total WSOP earnings of $1,131,750. He won his bracelet in the 2002 $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Event, earning $201,160. Some of his other impressive WSOP cashes are: a 2nd place finish in the 2004 Pot Limit Omaha Event for $103,580, a 10th place finish in the 2006 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. Event for $205,920, a 2nd place finish in the 2005 $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Event for $353,115.Williamson also had 2 WPT cashes during season 3 in 2007, and finished in 4th place out of 3,217 players in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) $500 main event and won $89,271.
Williamson had gastric bypass surgery and reduced his weight from 400 pounds to 200 pounds. Williamson and his wife own a high-end custom gaming jewelry line, "Robert Williamson III Designs. As of 2009, his total live tournament winnings exceed $1,900,000.
