TOURNAMENT SETUP - ADVICE

  • During the play of a tournament or cash game, put any extra chips away from players in case they get stolen.

  • For a tournament, put the starting chips in ziplock bags before any players arrive. Then as people give you their buy-in then give them the bag with their chips. Also, put a piece of paper in their with their Seat # so that when trhey get a random bag then they will get a random seat #.

  • Set up side cash games at tournies for players who get busted out.

  • When doing rebuys, give players higher denomination chips since you will be doing a color-up soon anyway.

  • Try to do your color-ups when your tournament is on break. This way you don't waste players time but you also don't have players sitting around the tables getting invlved in the color-up process.

  • Use a cut card to make sure no one can see the bottom card. They are cheap but effective.
