REGULAR CARDS

Normal paper or vinyl cards are good enough for home games. There are 2 reasons why: they are cheap and easy to find. They typically won't last you more than one night. Many games deal with 2 different decks because the game can get played faster. As one person deals, the other person shuffles. If you are using 2 decks then make sure the cards are different colors.

KEM CARDS

Kem plastic cards are the highest-quality, longest-lasting playing cards in the world. They typically cost about $20-$30 for a 2-deck pack but they are worth it. The best place to buy them is online because there aren't many places where you can get a nice selection on types or prices offline. They have many advantages over paper or vinyl playing cards:

Security: Kem plastic cards are virtually impossible to mark so it is harder to cheat with them.
Kems last longer than any other playing cards.
Kem cards are washable.
Kem cards are scuff-resistant so it is like dealing with a fresh deck all the time.
Adjusting for usage, they are the cheapest cards to buy.
Kem cards are usually customized with different designs.
