View Full Version : How much would it cost to enter a WSOP side event?

Is it affordable for the average Joe? Do certain games cost more to enter than others? Personally, I'm a big fan of NL hold'em and NL blind man's bluff.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who is at least a little curious. Only a fool or an extremely rich man would sign up for the main event, because the odds of winning anything in that get smaller and smaller every year, even for the pros.

Thanks

$1500 is the smallest buy-in

That is not right...there is a 200 WSOP event in San Diego and a bunch of 500 events. You need to go to www.worldseriesofpoker.com to get the full world series schedule. I know there are at least 10 events that are less than 500 to enter. Location is Reno, Tahoe, New Orleans.

I have the list of events in front of me. You can see the schedule and buy-ins if you go to www.worldseriesofpoker.com.

Most of the buy-ins are $1,000.

I've registered for #37, $1,000 w/ rebuys; and plan to register for #38 and 40, the super satellites at $1,000 each.
