Hi All -
I have a question about live games at a lot of these charity poker events (tournaments and sit and go's) that are everywhere these days. How much should you tip the dealer? I think 10% is a good tip for a $100 dollar buy or less should be standard.............ARE there standards??

I deal.....and have had people win $1800 bucks walk away without so much as a glance back...............even before I dealt I tipped 10% when I finished in the money.....
Thanks.

I deal a lot of charity events and any tip is appreciated especially since we are only getting an hourly wage. Tip according to "service". Were your cards dealt to you or in your general vicinity? Was the dealer polite and friendly yet not biased and making unnecessary comments on the hands (in other words: were they professional)? Did they read hands efficiently, accurately and quickly? All of these go into my consideration of tips. And the cash-money tournies in which I do play it's usu. 10-15% of my gross winnings depending on the service of all the dealers. Good luck 2 u.....
