What is the deal with Marcel Luske's upside down sunglasses?!

Marcel Luske: The only man on T.V. that I have ever seen wear upside down sunglasses. Do you think wearing them upside down would be a better idea. I do:

I understand what the deal is with the upside down sunglasses. You can look down on your cards without having to look through the shades in a dim casino. Also, no one can see a good reflection of your cards if you do so. Does anyone have a different opinion, or do you think that it is a good idea also?

I noticed the same thing. I first tried the upside down glasses to imitate Marcel in a home game with friends, but it actually is easier to see the cards.

screw glasses

don't personally see the need to wear glasses unless you have a facial tick like Moneymaker. (in his biography he says this). I think by wearing glasses you miss more table information than you give away by wearing them. Just a personal preference. Phil Ivey, Jonny Chan, Doyle, Huck, Carlos, every female player and Howard Lederer agree.

I wear glasses when not in the hand to gather info from other players without them knowing I am paying attention.
Poker is psychological warfare. I player can give away alot with his eyes, especially when you table talk. You can give away tells, subconsciously. I would guess that quite a few of those pros wore glasses earlier in there career.

I met Marcel and his people at the WSOP this year, one reason is that stated above, being able to look down at cards unobstructed. But, also so that no one can see his eyes or facial expressions (i.e. eyebrows) when he's looking down
