Entry By Qualifying

The entry for the WSOP Main Event should be done based on qualifying, with a format similar to the qualifying for golf's Masters or US Open, etc. The Main Event buy in should remain the same, but they should take, for example:
1) The top X number of money winners on the pro tour so far that year.
2) Anyone who has won the Main Event in the past.
3) Anyone in the last 10 years having made the final table at the Main event.
4) Anyone who won a WSOP Event the year before.
5) Anyone who finished in the top 50, 75, 100 etc. in the main event the year before.
6) Winners of select events between the last World Series and the current one, such as the WPT, etc. |
7) Each major online site should have 2-3 qualifying tournaments, each with a decent buy in, such as $250-$500 .... the top X finishers in each can go if they choose, or keep their money. No more every single day online $40 qualifier.
8) Every major casino in the US and Europe can have a championship tournament, with the top few finishers from each getting in.

Something like this would allow mmany people to get in but guarantee no goofballs, and would necessitate people truly earning their way in.
