Question cleaning chips

I got some "casino quality" 11.5g chips from eBay, which I've been happy with. After the first big home game I used them with, though, I find there are a lot of them with smudges. We'll have less greasy snacks next time.

For my billiard balls, I use OxyClean, soaking them in a large bowl, then drying with a towel. Has anyone tried a similar technique with poker chips? I've see some threads on the internet recommending detergents and a toothbrush, but I'd rather not have to clean each one individually.
