Opinions of the new partypoker

Party poker has obviously upgraded. The most notable change is that you can now play more than 4 tables (i experimented and had 10 up at one point). The next is that they randomly dump a screen asking you to verify a word; i'm assuming this is to stop pokerbots.

My question is what do you guys think of these changes?

My personal opinion is that this is very bad for the above average player trying to make a part time job of it. More people could log on to 6-8 tables, play 10-15% and wait on nuts. Average pots go down, you will have to wait longer for people to take thier turn. In general profitability will go way down.

Also, there is the risk that people can now simply data mine partypoker with pokertracker. True before you could get on with 4 games at a time, but now you could click on 10, wait a half hour (or have it on all day) and have a huge database on every player. Again, just bad news.

Any opinions.

I don't know what other people think but I don't know many players who play more than 4 tables at a time.

I think the fact that Party is looking to verify players as they play may look good on the surface but you must wonder how much bad behavior was going on if they had to resort to this.

Why worry and fret about party poker's upgrades? You can gripe all you want, about "rigging. suck out plays, the continual 'beats' and the rookie/wannabie players." But online betting for "real money" is fodder. And if you are an idiot enough to play it, then you deserve what you get. If Texas Hold 'EM is your gig, then go to the real money tables at the casinos, and be well-prepared. Cause you're liable to find me there, among many other players, who will gladly sit at a table with you (yes, you, the one who thinks he knows all about the game), and maybe you'll have a decent chance at winning a few hands. Please take several hundred bucks with you when you sit down at one of these tables - you'll need it. Hope to see you at Binion's or Sams Town, maybe even the Bellagio or Rio. I play them all. Yes, I do play on partypoker, and you've probbly seen my name there many times - at the "fake money" tourneys. And you'll probably notice, I win my fair share of those - because so many of you just don't know the game, think you know the game, and chalk it all up to "well, its only fake money" tourney play. But what you are doing, is creating a habit, that can so easily be quite different when you hit a real casino money table - and there are plenty of us at those tables, with a hidden rod/reel, just waiting for you little fishes to take our bait. If your going to play poker, LEARN HOW TO PLAY POKER. Your nonsense plays at fake money tables is only going to get you into trouble later on.

I agree - learn how to play. But you talk about online being rigged like it is a certainty.

I asked a very simple and specific question, and I can't believe the responses I'm getting. Not once did I say that partypoker was rigged. Anyone that says that is a paranoid jackoff. My quesion was about partypoker's changes allowing about datamining via pokertracker, and the idea of allowing 10+tables per player, and how this would affect overall longterm profitability. There is no reason to get off track and insult me as a poor player. I can assure you I am not. If you have something to add to the thread, please do. Otherwise, please move on.

We are talking about what Sybian said - not you.

"But online betting for "real money" is fodder. And if you are an idiot enough to play it, then you deserve what you get."

It takes a certain type of loser to come online and insult people they have never so much seen or met within the context of where they play. What does it matter if someone chooses to play online as opposed to a casino? They're hardly alone in that are they? No offence Sybian but your post reeks of self-righteous bullshit - anyone can build an 'image' for themselves over the course of a post - doesn't make it true or accurate though does it?
