The Second Single Table Tournament For The Night, On About The Fourth Hand I Caught A Pair Of Sixes In The Hole And It Came Down, 6h, 8d, 10d, So I Checked Hoping To Lure Some Folks In, The Next Guy Did A Marginal Raise, Another Guy Called And So Did I, Next Card Was A Jd, So Now My Set Of 6's Is Losing To D Flush, Most Likely, So I Checked Again, Next Guy Raises, Third Guy Jumps Out. I'm Thinking Im Beat For Sure, But If A J, 8, 10, Or 6 Comes Down, I've Got It, So I Call And Bam 8s Comes Off, I Figure Im A Lock, With 6's Full Of 8's, So I Check And He Comes Out Firing Again, I'm Thinking He Doesn't Even See Me Coming, So I Raise All In, He Calls Without Blinking, And Throws Down J, 8! Topping My Boat With His Dang Yacht. I Was Pissed, But I'd Do The Same Thing Over Again.

three times in two weeks (twice in two days) playing in satellites to WSOP or WPT I ran into the following: three handed play; one is short stack, i'm in the middle, third is table leader. I draw pocket pair (1st = jacks, 2d = deuces, 3d time = 8's) and call. No raises. Flop gives me a set each time; short stack goes all in with top pair or two pair; i go all in with my set; table leader calls us both with wither a flush draw or a straight draw; the turn helps no one; and the leader makes either his straight of flush on the river. last night was at the final table of WSOP sat and similarly, had wired pair and made set on the flop - first position goes all in and i call; turn helps no one, and river makes his flush - i'm out again (in 5th place).

Was playing 20/40 limit hold'em at the borgota in atlantic city NJ was in the big blind with 3 5 of Spades. As the action went around everyone folded and when it got to the button he raised my big blind, after the small blind folded i called the raise. The flop came A 2 4 all spades i flopped a straight flush or the steel wheel as it is referred to. the button had K J of spades so he flopped the nut flush as well. After reraising each other about 12 times we asked the floorperson if we could skip the bets and raises and just move all in on the hand. He allowed us to put all of our chips into the pot when i showed my hand the other guy was about to cry, but sure enough the turn came the Q of spades and the river the 10 of spades turning my straight flush into the second best hand since he now had a royal flush......Lost about $1500 on that one

Check this hand out....2-4 NLH........i am in BB with KT offsuit.......BB calls, everyone else folds. heads up, i check. flop is T 7 7. Now that is great news, so i overbet the pot to take it there, for about $20. he smooth calls me. i figure he's got overcards.......Turn is a T. Now that is great news. i bet 40, he raises to 120, and i go all in for about 40 more. about a $400 pot. river is a T!!!!!!!! but wait, what did BB have???? 77!!! YOWZA!~
that borgata hand sounds pretty fishy to me.

Well heres a pretty bad beat. I'm a pretty conservative player, so I usually don't play too many hands unless they have some sort of value. So, I'm BB and no one raises. I have complet trash 7-5 off suite, but the flop gives me a str8 (3-4-6 rainbow) Since it was a no limit sit and go I rose 400 got re-risen and then went allin for 2500 worth of chips. Only one guy calls, and he had pp 8's so I feel pretty good about it. Of course it happens, 8 on the turn, 3 on river to give him a miracle FH over me.

I got a free play in the BB with 3-4 suited, there was only one other player in the hand. He had K6 of hearts and stayed in for some reason. The flop came down 4-4-3!!! I was thinking about how to capitalize. There were 2 hearts on the board and he was chasing the flush. The turn brought a 6, giving him 2 pair. I went all-in and he called with his 2 pair (?). The river brought....another 6, giving him a better FH. I lost all my money and now I'm broke as a joke, after thinking I was going to double up. It sucks.

Playing $2.00/$4.00 limit tables. This was a Tripple Beat down I took 3 hands in a row. First hand I am in 3 bet pre-flop hand with KK and about 4 other players. Flop comes up with a K and junk. Bets go around and it ends up myself and 2 others. Turn is junk and another leaves. 3 Kings are the best possible hand at this point and I am heads up. River is an Ace and yep, you know it. He hold AA. Beat down number 1. Second hand I in with A8 suited. Cards come up A 8 5 5 8 with lots of betting and 4 of us in at the end for all 4 bets after the river. The for final hands are 55588, 88855, 888AA (me) and AAA88 (same guy as the hand before) Beat down number 2. Third hand I hold AA and flop comes down 2 7 X with no flush. I bet into and only myself and my arch rival are left. River ends with a 2 and yep, you know it. He came in on my pre-flop raise with 7 2 off suite in the Big Blind. After that I went and made myself a stiff drink.

$100 no rebuy tournament. There were about 50 players and I'm in the final 5. 4th place on, you're in the money. I sit on a short stack when the blinds are $250 and $500. I'm on the button and both players before me fold. I get dealt K/J of diamonds. I go all in for $4000. Small blind folds, big blind calls me all in WITH A 6/9 OF DIAMONDS. Flop comes K,10,Q. no diamonds. Turn comes a JACK. I lose to the king high straight. TELL ME THAT'S NOT BULL SH-IT~!

THE $1,000 ONE OUTER Omaha Hi Lo, NL $1-$2 blinds. Dealt AhAcKdTd. A little bit of betting preflop. Flop Ad Qh Jd. I flop broadway, top set, nut flush draw, ROYAL flush draw. UTG bets out $150. Next player calls. I go all-in for $310 total. Both call. Turn 6d, I made nut flush. River is Jc. I am Aces Full, UTG is Queens full (QcQs2?4?), middle player is quad jacks JhJs2?5?). That Jack was the only card in the deck that could beat me, as the case queen would have given me the ROYAL. Nearly $1000 pot I miss, and my entire bankroll is GONE.

in final 12 in 100NL tourney. about 15K in cips top 3rd ofthose left. Pocket JJ. I raise BB, flop J33 to make full house JJJ33, so I go all in. Get called....turn 3, river 3, lose to pair of pocket 33 four of a kind. Same player, chip leader at the time, (pockt AA) draws trip aces to beat another all in 3 hands earlier.
I was dealt AA, made a medium size raise and got 2 callers. Flop was A, J, J, I make a bet, one folds the other raises, with J, 8, or something. I put him all in and he catches his only out (the last J) on the river.

$20+$2 single table NL hold 'em tourney. Down to four players (3 pays) and the guy to my left has a monster chip lead that he's using to bully the rest of us out of our blinds on every single hand. The thing is though, he's actually calling with his garbage when he's reraised - just because he can afford to. I have already watched him double up the other two players this way. I catch Jh,Js in the big blind and like clock work this guy makes the minimum raise under the gun. The other two guys fold and I figure that, at best, this bully has either A - rag or K-rag and this may be my chance to double up so I reraise all-in. He calls and when I see that he's holding 2h, 2d I'm even more excited cuz he's only got two outs. The flop comes: Jd, 4c, Ad. I hit my set and I'm thinking that's the nail in the coffin. Turn comes 9d. River comes 5d. He wins with a diamond flush - deuce high! Now if he had caught a 2 and I didn't catch my J that's a different story that I don't bother telling because that will happen every now and then. But a flush!? What are the odds of that? And because he had deuces, the only way he could win with a flush is with exactly 4 diamonds on the board. 3 diamonds and the pot is mine. 5 diamonds and we split it.

I was playing in Empire Poker in a NL game. With my buy in of 100,000 chips. The cards were dealt and i had 2-8 of clubs. I went ahead and bet 25,000 to scare some people off. It worked because 3 players(out of 7) remained in the pot. The flop was 6 of CLUBS, 9 of hearts and 9 of CLUBS. I then bet 35,000 and scared off the person to my left(I was on a flush draw). The person in the last seat called and the Turn came. It was Jack of clubs giving me the flush. I then checked and the other person also checked(Im pretty sure we had just about an equal amount of money). The river came it was like a 3 of hearts but more importantly i bet all-in my 40,000 left not fooling around. The other player quickly called and the cards were turned over . He had flopped a full-house 9s full of 6s. His card were 6-9 off suit. I will always remember this tough beat.
2/4 hold em: I had Kh 10s; flop came Ah Qh Jh for top straight and the royal flush draw turn and river came Q Q and I lost to quads.

This is the worst beat ever, I dare someone to top this. Okay, I have pocket 88, flop comes 8 5 2, I have the nuts. I check it of course. The button bets the pot (4$), he has 66. I call, the turn is a 6. So I check again and he bets harder 8$. I\'m worried about a straight chase so I go all in over the top. Turns out he had no shot a the straight. My set of 8\'s vs his set of 6\'s and only the river to go. 100$ plus pot on the all ins. He was one out to hit on the river, the 6, and the six comes down. TOP THAT!!!

In I live game I have a stack of about 150-200 bucks, guy on my right is BB and holds about 300 and has been overplaying garbage the whole night. I am under the gun and find two black nines in my hand, so I know this guy is reraising before the flop with marginal hands so I raise twice the big blind, folds around to him, he reraises me about 3/4 of my stack, I take a moment to think about this and decide to go for it, pushing the rest of mine in. He calls immediately, I say, What you got Kings? he says not that good and turns over what else but the red nines!!!!! I say well looks like we\'re getting our money back. Flop comes 10c 4d 6d followed, to my complete amazement, by 8d Ad, the most improbable beat I have ever seen, I guess its not much of a beat, because the hand would have been split, but still, come on!!!!!!!!

This could be the greatest beat of all time, mostly because I happened to be on the winning side, in a tourney final table I was on a very low stack, maybe1/3 of the highest on the table. I am in the small blind with 68s, I call, big blind makes min raise, I call plus one other caller. Flop comes 5s 5c 7s, I bet half of my stack on this draw (the best flop I had seen in a while) and get raised the rest of it by the high stack to my left, who is then called by the third guy in the table, I call the all in, but they want to side pot, turn comes 7h, first guy make substantial bet, second guy raises all in, quickly called: flip the cards...guy to my left has 7d7c, other guy has 5h5d, we all know what i had when God reached down from heaven on the river and he did decree: NINE OF SPADES
2004 WSOP
04-23-04, 08:48 AM
A hand happened in the WSOP that is the worst beat possible(stastically over 1000-1). I guy named Gallager had 5-5 raised preflop, got reraised to heads up and then called the reraise. The flop came 5-5-7 rainbow. Gallager checks and the other guy goes all in. Of course the 5\'s almost beat him in the pot. He shows 9-9. Not a bad bet consideing the flop and the overpair. But he was packing his stuff to leave when he saw the quad fives. Unfortunately he had to sit back down as the turn and river came 9-9. NOW THAT IS A BAD BEAT.
On the button with AQhearts bet half my stack (about 6x\'s the BB)hoping to steal, at which the small blind says: pre-flop raising is stupid and he calls. Flop comes A,K,10 (2 hearts), he checks, i\'m all-in and he calls (about 1/2 of his stack). Turn brings a 6, river brings a 4 and all the money goes to him because.....he called with 6,4 offsuit!!! 90-1 favorite on the flop 13-1 on the turn and he wins. True Poker.com the real deal yeah right...

I am at a friends house playing high-stakes No limit hold \'em, there were only five of us playing at the table. ($100-$500 buy in, $5/$10 blinds). One player folds in front of me, I am before the dealer and I fold [2c/6h], after me the dealer folds. Anyway, the small blind calls the blind and raises $100, at this point we are all thinking there is no way the big blind will call that unless he is holding a monster. My friend, the big blind, calls the $100 and reraises another $100, me and the other players are all stund at this point, the small blind reraises him all-in quickly. My friend moves his chips in and they flip their cards...the small blind has [Ah/Ac], here is the crazy part...my friend has [As/Ad]. We all stand up amazed and laugh about it, we are all thinking split pot. Well we have to show the board cards. The first card is [9s], second card is [Jh], and the third card to end the flop was the [3s]. I look at the flop and say, Runner spades...everyone gets quiet and we watch 4th street and the river... both cards spades...the [Ks] and the [6s] giving my friend a spade flush. It may not have been the worst bad beat...but it was a CRAZY bad beat.

After Three Years Of Sucessful Internet Play I Decide It\'s Time For Live Action.i\'m At A Nl ($250 Buy-in) Game Playing Eight Handed. Over Three Hours Of Play I\'m Doing Well, My Stack Is About $600. The Guy In Seat 1 Is The Only One With More Chips, He Has About $750. I\'m In The Big Bind And An Early Position Raises To $15. There Are 2 Callers And Then It\'s On The Small Blind (guy With $750), He Re-raises To $30. I Look Down To Find Pocket Aces. The Question Is How To Play. I Raise To $60 Knowing Most Will Fold, And They Do Except For The Small Blind Who Moves All-in For $750. I Call And, As I Expected, It Was My A-a -vs- K-k. The Flop Is 10-q-4, The Turn 4, The River Was A King Of Course. I Know There Are A Lot Worse Beats In This Section,(some Of Which I Doubt, However Possible They May Be). I Just Thought I\'d Share My First Live One With You.

Tournament with about 30 people in it, 225.00 entry fee for 800.00 in chips. Two people go all in about the third hand in, preflop, they both have kings. They are about to split it, and one of the guys say, just run the cards see what comes up (should have done anyways, but everyone was like wow, same hand). So they run the cards, two clubs and a spade come up, then runner runner clubs and guy that opened his mouth to run the cards gets knocked out by guy that hits flush with his kings. That had to hurt, especially since everyone had assumed it was a split and started to muck everything. Ah well, that was a bad one
In the no-limit tournament with 4000 people in it, I had 5 and 7 suited (spade)with about 750 chips, I was small blind(15) and there was no raise so I naturally called 30. only 2 other people stayed in with me. The flop came with 8,6,6,(2 spade) I checked, the big blind checked also, the other guys bet 30, so I called because I had both straight and flush draw, the big blind folded. The turn came with a 4 of spade, I went all in with a straight, the other calls. he had 8 and 5 offsuit. I laughed at the careless mistake he made. However, my smile disappeared when the river comes with another 8, giving him a full house(8 full of 6s). He won with only 2 outs from the remaining 44 cards, that hurt really badly because I went from 2.5k to 700 because my pocket 10s lost to an AK offsuit the previous hand. Upon seeing this I typed God feels unlucky today in the chat box and close pokerstars.

I was playing in a 9 person $50 sit and go NL game. There were 6 left and I was second in chips with about 2000. I had K3 and was in the big blind. There were a couple calls and I checked. The flop came K 2 3. I had top two pair on the flop. I raised about 400 and got one caller. The turn was a two. I bet about 500 and the guy called, so now I\'m worried that he has a 2. Luckily the river is a king so I have the boat kings full of threes. I go all in and much to my surprise I am called. Of the 169 possible hands in poker, only one can beat me and that is 2 2, and guess what the guy has- yep 2 2. That dropped me down well into last place with like 200 chips.

Im playing a live tournament getting dealt crap all day, finally I get Big Slick in the 5th posistion of a ten player table, blinds were 100/200 I raised to an even thousand get one caller. Flop comes Ac Kd 7s. Guy checks to me I raise all in about 4000 in chips. He calls with As Ts. Catchs runner runner spades for flush and knocks me out. Worst beat of my career by far.
No Limit Game. 5 Handed I\'m BB got delt KK. Dealer Flips an Ace while dealing killing the Ace. SB makes small raise, I only call hoping to trap. Flop comes down K 2 7, all off suites. SB moves all in for about $325, I call. He\'s holding A K. He has to catch both Aces left in the deck to win. Turn Ace, River last Ace in deck hits the board. The worst part of it all, my own brother was the dealer.
HEY GOD FROM POKER STARS, if i read correctly you lost to a full house with a straight flush, you said u had 5-7 spades, flop came 8-6-6 2 spades so now u have open ended straight flush draw 5-6-7-8, and the 4 of spades came on the turn, at that point nothing can beat you. I think you either messed the suits up, or your really bad at making a story up

$1/$2 NL Hold\'em: I play very loose, make a lot of bluffs, and after a while that becomes apparent to the table, and I use it to my advantage. The previous hand I had caught a middle pair, and raised and raised and raised and someone else called me all the way down and I lost... Next hand I\'m dealt a pair of 3\'s in the hole, hoping to catch a set, I am the 4th in line and call the $2 bet... all 9 people stay in the pot for $2. Flop comes K Q 3 unsuited, the check comes to me and I immediately go all-in for $200 hoping someone might try and call me on a bluff like they usually do. Everyone folds but the last man, who is holding A K. He calls, the turn comes a King, now i have 3\'s full against his 2-pair, but the river comes an ace and somehow I lose... I was in shock... 1/66 chance of happening... you have better chances pulling a card from a full deck. I lost only profits because I had just cashed out the rest 2 minutes prior, and I have a feeling pokerstars was feeling vengeful

Sitting BB 2 callers, I get A,4 hearts...flop comes A,4,2 rainbow...first guy $60 bet, 2nd guy calls, I go all in...both players call...one has pocket 4\'s the other, pocket 2\'s. Wait, it gets better...4th street, no help...the river: 2. Cost me $400 w/ top two...I rolled after that one!
Playing in a multi table tourney. I have As Js, one guy goes all in, another calls his all in and also puts himself all in. That leaves me with a decision, and I go all in since I needed the chips. All betting was done after the flop. Flop was Ks 10s 6c and when all cards are flipped over, you see the first guy with pocket A\'s (he had Ah and Ac) and the 2nd guy with pocket 6\'s (so he made his set of 6\'s) 4th card is 10c and last card is 8s, so I made my flush, however the guy with the pocket 6\'s made a full boat, knocking me and the other guy out. That sucked, he became chip leader and went on to do well.

here\'s a recap of what happened to me on Sunday...I get to Foxwoods and decide to play in the big no-limit game (min. $200 buy-in, but most people usually have 500-1k), so I buy-in for a dime...after about 4-5 hours I was up to about $1,500 when THE HAND happened...i had been getting a good read on people, playing well w/out the cards and steadily increasing my stacks...i\'m two off from the button when the player under the gun raises to $25 and someone else raises to $50...I look down at J-J and raise to $150, the button thinks about it for a minute a decides to call and the other two fold...the button was an ok player but I was nervous when he just called b/c he had been re-raising everyone when he had a medium pair 6\'2-10\'s and shown it after he got people to lay down, so his call made me think A-A or K-K, worst A-K and was trying to trap me...flop comes down J-J-3...flopped quad Jacks..i wait for a minute and check, the button thinks for a few minutes and checks, turn brings an A - which is great for me since I had him on A-A and hope he makes his full house - I lead out and bet the pot - $300, he waits and re-raises all-in for about $1,600 - dream situation, couldn\'t shove my stacks in the middle quick enough as I call - now over $3,100 in the pot...he sees my jacks as does the rest of the table - everyone telling me how well I played that hand and trapped him, but to quote Lee Corso, Not so fast my friends! the dealer raps the table, burns a card and turns up....A!!!that\'s right, he caught running Aces to beat my quad Jacks...I

Playing in the PPMillion down to the final 4 tables. 28 players move on to the cruise. I could have almost blinded my way to the prize. But, I look down and see the ladies in the pocket. I figure I\'ll play em conservative and be willing to throw them away. One player raises, and I flat call. Flop comes 2, 7, Q, rainbow. He comes out betting, and I raise him. He calls. Turn is the 2nd 7 giving me the nut boat. Since I was observing his play and had him on an overpair. He bets strong on the turn and I shove all in. He paused for a minute, and I prayed he\'d fold. River is an Ace. I knew it was my kiss of death card when it showed up because it obviously gave him his aces full. Not the worst on this page, but it kept me from the WPT cruise trip, so I see it as about a $7500. bad beat. Bad enough by my books.

Three great ones. In fact, I don\'t think the first one can be topped. 1) I\'m in the big blind and I have 55, guy limps in on button and I check. Flop is 55x so I\'ve got quads and I check, guy bets and I raise, he goes all in and I call immediately. Cards are flipped up and he has KK...turn K, river K. By the way, the very next hand he cracked my Aces with quad 6\'s. It was a great day. 2) While the above is bad, this one probably hurt the most because it was a WSOP qualifier. About 15 of us left in the tourney and I\'m in third. Chip leader limps in and I have a 24s in the big blind and I check. Flop is A35 rainbow so I flopped the nut straight. I check, he leads out and I call. Turn is a 4, not the card I wanted to see but I\'m still in good shape. I lead out, he raises, I reraise all in and he calls. Cards come up he has A4, river 4. 3)Pick up AA and raise and get two callers. Flop is A3K rainbow and I check, guy leads out, other guy folds and I call. Turn comes K and the guy leads out and I raise, he raises all in and I call with Aces full. He shows KT off. River K.

no need to make up bull because i honestly forgot the suits, but it didn\'t matter in this particular hand. i was playing 10-20 for the first time . . i usually play 5-10 and was doing pretty well. this hand came up. i had 88 and raised. one caller. i flop a set that also included a Q and another rag (which i forgot but is irrelevant). he bets after the flop and i raise and he calls). i put him on AQ. the turn comes a Q. This is wonderful if i were correct about his AQ, giving him trip Q\'s and completing my 8\'s full. on the turn betting is capped. the only card i did not want to see were an A or a K (he mite have had KQ). river A, so i am thinking OMG i swear he has AQ so he bets and i only call. i had him preflop, after the flop, after the turn, and he rivers me a better house as i lose almost a $400 pot . . . i felt like phil ivey when moneymaker rivered his Q\'s full of aces against ivey\'s 9\'s full in 2003 WSOP (only to 100000x\'s lesser degree) . . . and i smartly move back down to 5-10 after losing 1/2 my bankroll. of course this has probably happened to many people, but this was not a great way to start in my first day i felt i would venture into 10-20. the only plus i got was that the player said he would put in his player notes that i was a good player for not reraising on the river by reading his AQ. WOW. . i would rather win the pot, but thanks, i guess.

playing in a tournament me and my opponent are the last two left. Pre flop he raises all in with Ace of Hearts King of Clubs. I figure alright this is going to be a split pot unless spades come out. The flop and turn come he draws 4 clubs to the King High flush, I didn\'t even need to see the river card! now thats pretty crazy

this is not the worst bad beat ever but i cud of dropped the person who beat me. the person i lost 2 was 1 off them annoyin people who just raise, raise, raise dont u just hate them?. any way i was playin 4 real money on a nl-table, blinds 50-£1. i started wiv £9 and built it right up near £35 evry1 folds i had a great hand pocket hooks (jacks) im in the bb and the sb raised about £6 i thought thats a bit much hes tryin 2 steal my blind (y coz it was only £1) so i jus flat called (while thinking im gonna hav u likin my lips) the flop comes 6d,7d,jh. i flopped a set (i then nearly get a stiffy coz i h8 this player)he raised the pot so i jus flat called again the turn brings another diamond im thinkin cud he hav a flush so he fires out a massive £15 by now hes got me thinkin so i bite my balls and raise all in over the top of him (by the way iv got my twin bro sittin next 2 me sayin wot the f*!* r u doin) he calls im thinkin o poo he turns over hes got Ad 5c so im sittin there laughin sayin wot a mov 2 my bro he then literally gets a stiffy then here it cums the river will i drown or will i swim wiv a nice bank balance over it cums king of f**in diamonds i flippin drown like a swimmer wiv no arms the jacksy punk done me over and i nearly got in a fight wiv my bro (so if ur readin this im gonna get u) lol
I take bad beats all the time, but the one I like the best was a couple weeks back. I had QQ flop come Q-7-4, turn a K, river a K. Guy who I made it a lot of bets with on all betting rounds turns over KQ. If anyone can figure out the odds of him having the case Q and flopping top pair, only to catch his only out of running Kings. I was amazed...

Was a 10 SNG, i had 97 in SB, flop comes 996, i slow play and check, 4 players, turn comes 4, i bet BB stays in, river comes 2 bet big he goes all in i call, he had 53, he went runner runner straight, i did the math on cardplayer and he was a 1.5% to win the hand after the flop. Those were the only two cards that could win the hand for win and they both had to come.

playing in $100 NL with about $70. dealt 8s 9s, on the big so i play it. flop comes 10s, Js Qs, I almost fall out of my chair. I decide to slow play it so I check. Chip leader with about $500 bets $5. I call, as do 2 others. Turn comes Jh, same deal I check money bags raises $10, one guy drops the other calls so do I. River comes 4h. This time I bet $20, chip leader calls it next guy goes all in $115, I call and Donald Trump calls. We turn them over and I cry as I\'m sure the other guy did too. Seems Bill Gates had AKs and the third guy had pocket jacks. So a royal bet my straight flush that beat 4 jacks. I have since left party and am looking for a new server, as well as a new bedroom wall, don\'t ask just figure it out.

This isnt a bad beat because I won!!...But ill tell it from the poor losers POV. I (poor loser)have kk....one handsome devil raises it double the blinds. Flop comes q-q-8...handsome checks, i check also. Turn brings my K...K\'s full of Q\'s...i am loving it. Even better the herculean one bets this time...I think hes trying to represent the King to score the big pot. I cooly call, hoping he does actualy have the K...or even a Q for that matter. River brings trash and zeus bets hard...i double his bet and he puts me allin, i call right away. As soon as I call he tosses his cards and starts to grab at the chips..I say not so fast, and toss my pocket k\'s on the table. The handsome devil quickly points out that the cards he tossed on the table were QQ...giving him quads off the flop. Wow. That guy was handsome and lucky!!

The worst bad beat of all is the bad beat story itself. From the moment they say, you\'re not going to believe this, you know exactly what happens. 1. They flop a miracle, (often with sub-standard cards for which they somehow have a reason for being in the pot). 2. A flurry of betting occurs during which time it never occurs to them that maybe they\'re not as far ahead in the game as they thought they were. 3. A TRADGEDY happens, a miracle. Well the very worst beat after the flop is 1080 to 1. (Two perfect cards) Most bad beats are small odds (less than 100 to 1). To hear some people talk, you\'d think that the river card is a new thing that was just started yesterday. AND comparing perfect-perfect in one hand among thousands you may play, to the lifetime odds of death from Exposure to smoke, fire and flames, of 1,116 to 1(http://www.nsc.org/lrs/statinfo/odds.htm ), go ahead and beat me with perfect-perfect, take the few measly dollars I\'ve put in the pot. Oh, and grow up, people sucking out on the river is part of the game.
This is a bad beat I put on 2 players. At a no-limit cash game I was short stacked and on tilt so I moved all-in over the top of an early position raise with my A-Q. Then middle position goes all-in and the initial raisers moves all-in as well. A-K vs. K-K vs. A-Q (me). I am toast until the flop brings to Queens and I sheepishly collect my money.

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT CHASE FLUSH DRAW! No Limit Texas Hold \'Em is painfully ironic, and unfair, at times. At a 0.50-1.00 NL table, I was dealt AK Spades. To slow play the hand, I simply called at the table with 7 other players. Action moved to the big blind before the flop was seen, and, with three callers including the SB, BB bets $10. I considered my options, and decided to just call, while everyone else folded. Flop brought 2S, 5S and J of Diamonds. I placed my opponent on a pocket pair or two suited paints, but wanted to see my flush first. I called a $15 bet on fourth (10 Spades, no flush) and had to fold on the river (10 diamonds). He exposed his cards ... pocket 3s. Cruel ...

3 players left. i\'m big blind. get dealt pair of nines. I bet 400 chips the other player goes all in 2500 chips I call. he has pair of 6\'s. flop comes out 9-A-3. the turn a 6, the river a six. it still hurts.
ARRGGH! Get dealt AA for my hole cards (was in a $1/£2 limit room) I rase pre flop...after continual raising by myself and one other guy there is just three of us left from a start of 8. Flop comes A K J (diff suits) I raise, 1 guy folds the other guy raises...we raise as much as we can in the limit...turn comes, its a 2...i think im safe. Raising happens just as before...the river comes, another 2. Im happy i have a full house, cant see any logical way i can be beaten...again the raising happens just as before...im thinking he has Q 10 and has flopped a str8, but nothing prepared me for his hole cards... 2 2. I would do the same thing again, last thing i ever expected was the guy to cling on and raise and raise with 2 little ducks...but thats poker, and god it can hurt. Lost about $30/$40 all in.

I was playing PERFECT poker, and I was doing really well. A hand comes up with this rich executive and I'm dealt AK suited under the gun. I put in about a pot-sized raise and I'm called by the aforesaid man. The flop comes 8 9 10. I move all-in knowing that he probably has AK like me since that\'s the only hand anyone should ever play. He turns over JQ. What a terrible player, seriously!

Well here\'s 2 for yah: #1)I\'m short stack with AKoffsuit, flop hits my ace (other cards were like 5diamonds 8diamonds) Since im short stacked I go all in, IM UP AGAINST ANOTHER AK OFFSUIT. So I think, ok split pot...He hits 2 more diamonds to give him an ace high flush. #2) Pocket Aces, I raise 3 times the pot preflop, I get a call. I hit an ace on the flop, rainbow. I go all in...The guy calls...he called me with 63 clubs, one club on board, he hits two more to get the flush! This site is full of bad beats....
i get KQ of diamonds and im on the button so i raise to 8 (nl100) big blind calls. flop comes As Kc Qs. i check to see what this other kid wants to do. he bets 6 i call. turn is the Qh and im thinking SLICE CITY. so i come out and bet hoping he has the straight he doubles my raise and i got all in he calls with Js 10s and of course the next card is the Ks to give him a royal flush over my full house.

This is as bad as it will ever get. I was in a freeroll and was dealt 2 black aces.Put in a small raise preflop to weed out a probable catcher. Three were left when flop came. Flop was 2 red aces and a king. My first ever 4 ace hand!!!!The guy goes allin....other guy folds...and I\'m so excited about doubling up.Turnd out he had a 10 and queen of diamonds.....ace and king on the board.....wouldnt you know on the river he caught the jack.....Beat me with a royal flush!!!I hate the computer generated dealer!!!Made to rake us players dry.

10-20 game at Turning Stone Casino. I\'m 2nd under the gun with Pocket Aces. Guy infront limps in, I raise and everyone folds except limper. Flop 8-5-5. He checks I bet he calls. Turn is a 6, all rainbow at this point. He checks I bet he calls. River is a 7. He checks, I bet, he raises and I reluctantly call more to see what his hand was. Guy flips over K-9o, and went runner runner in a headsup pot to catch the straight. Might be the worst thing I have ever seen.
I raise pre-flop with A/7 and get one caller. Flop comes 10/7/3 I bet and get called. Turn comes A (with two clubs out there), so I go all in with my two pair, he calls with A/J. There are 32 unseen cards left in the deck and only a J will win it for him.....river card was a J.
tourney starts with 100 in chips and blinds 1-2. I play pretty conservatively so i folded the first bunch of hands. I get 7-7 on the button and raise to 8. the big blind calls for 6 more. flop comes 10-7-10. Big blind goes all in and i OF COURSE call. he has 10-J. turn comes 6, river comes 6. beats my sevens full with tens full. ROUGH.
Im playing at a friends house witha huge chip lead over the other 2 remaining. Im in the small and am delt AsKs and raise the BB about 1/3 his stack, he decides go call all in with Q2 and sum how catches a Q on the river. The very next hand im delt AK off suit and i raise about the same as last time and the same guy moves all in with none other than 85 offsuit... Flop 5 8 3 turn 10 river ace and now im the low stack at the table
4 people remaining at a tourny at a guys house, the guy to my left(short stacked) goes all in with A7 off, i fold, the guy to my right calls with AA, flop is K 6 9, the turn is 7 river: 7.
playing 7 card stud and im holding Ac Kc 7d 3h Qc Jc and the river to come, the guy goes all in before the river and is holding 6s 8d 5s 3d 5h 2c 9h, all he has is a pair of 5s, i have 5 over cards straight and royal flush draw and flush draw, i have draw city... 20 sum outs, i flip the 6 of diamonds
playing in a tourny with 6 people at my table, i aint in this hand, a guy that just cant seem to catch a good hand finally hits 2 pair, holding A9 with the flop A 9 6, he goes all in and gets a call witha guy holding A6, and the guy holding A9 is happy to see he is finally ahead of things until a 6 comes on the turn giving the 2nd guy a fullhouse, without even seeing the river the guy storms out of the room and i havent seen him then.

I have the ultimate bad beat. In a .25/.50 NL cash game. A couple folds then the guy in middle position raises to $2. He gets one cold call behind him and I raise to $10 in 9th position with AA (I always overbet the pot with preflop raises). Both blinds fold but the other two cold call. Flop comes AA9, so I have quads! Both check to me and I check. Turn comes a jack, giving 3 spades on the board, and the first player checked. The next player moves in with $45 (more than the pot) and I cold call. The first player also calls which sets him all in as well. river comes a king of spades. The first player had pocket jacks, full house. Next player had TQs so he got a straight flush on the river! I showed my bullets and signed off.

I have 55 in a late position in a online $1/$2 NL online , $12 pre-flop raise from one guy. 2 of us call. Flop is 45Q. Early position bets $50, origional raiser calls. I re-raise to $120 flop bet\'er folds, pre-flop raiser calls. The turn is a 2, I think well theres absolutly no way hes got A3 or 36 so I chuck another $70 down thinkin its only QQ that will beat me he goes allin I call so theres a $500+ pot. 3 drops in on the river and he turns over AA to make a A-5 str8. Nice, how I wished i\'d held 66 and played like a tw@t. Not sure how the hell he thought he was ahead the way I was bettin.

Firstly...I was a big believer in that a bad beat is not a bad beat just the brians way of telling us that u were unlucky and that there is justification for the loss.....However I have had some ridiculous ones that have cost my bank roll on the named site.......... 1.... 25/50c......Dealt Pocket qq\'s......raise $5...get 2 callers.....flop is J7Q....i raise 10 $....get called by 1 person.... turn is a j..........i check.....he bets....i call the $15...i figure he has either now 2 pairs or trips......against my full house.....river is a jack.....he goes all in - i think about it and then call.......i flip my q\'s over j\'s and he flips j4 offsuit(quad j\'s)........i mean WTF !!!! 2..... Same limits...I limp in with pocket 22\'s.......flop is 223...quad 2\'s - brilliant..... 3 players all raise in front of me, i re-raise all in and get 2 callers......one who had slowplayed aa and someone with 33.....turn is K and River - U guessed it a nice big fat 3!!!!!!!!!!!! I have several others but....It depresses me to think about them....

I\'m in an Omaha Hi/Lo tournament and with pocket 7\'s the flop brings 7/K/7. A guy bets, I raise, he re-raises, we go back and forth with that. I think to myself great, the guys got pocket kings, this is going to be GOOD! The river brings his fourth king and I lose a HUGE pot. Another tourney I flopped a st8 flush though and some guy caught four 3\'s on the turn, so I took a lot of his money that time. Just remember to tell yourself that\'s poker when stuff like that happens.

ring game. quarter room with a 5 dollar preflop raise. I figure AA or KK, but am holding ten ten, figure its worth a shot...See the flop...6-6-6 check - check... Turn: 10. Im holding 10s over 6s, which would beat his 6\'s over Aces (which is what I still figure him to be holding). He goes all in, and I ofcourse call. I was right, should have been paid off until the river: the 4th 6, and it came down to high card

Not sure if its so much as a bad beat as a thats Poker story. 1-3 NL game. I\'m on the SB with AA. Everyone starts folding so I\'m afraid of not getting any action. Finally last guy in front of me raises to $10. I raise to $20 to suck a little more out of him. Well, BB goes all in with $65. I figure he must be on KK or QQ. Since I have AA I didn\'t expect the original raiser to call....he did! So I raise to $150 putting the original raiser all in as well. Now I have two players all in against my AA, I figure I\'m going to clean house on a $300+ pot. Now a crowd has gathered and oohhhs and ahhhs go out as I turn over my bullets. BB turns over KK...as expected. Original raiser turns over A 10 diamonds. He hangs his head and the crowd can\'t figure out what he was thinking. Long story short the A 10 hits the flush on the river as KK goes home and I head to the ATM.

I have about 90% of the chips in a heads up game..I put him all in, I have AK, he has 22. The flop comes out 22J. So I lose some chips there, but it\'s okay still. I put him all in again, this time with KK. He flips over his AA. The flop comes out K 2 10. The turn is worthless. The river card is an ace. So I go from virtually having all the chips to 2nd place.

$50 buy in, i was dealt KK, make a decent pre-flop bet (nothing too big because i did want some action and was a fairly tight table). Had a few calls. Flop comes K-8-9. I\'m in last position now, so after a bet from first position, and a few calls, i make a HUGE raise. then the guy in first position (original bettor) pushes all in, and everyone folds around to me and i call happily. he flips over K-7, and i show him my set. the turn comes 10, and the river comes J..... gives him a $*#&ing straight!! how bad is that?!?!? was well over a $150 pot. that sucked bad

I Was Dealt The 7-4 Offsiut In The Small Blind. One Guy Raised. I Went All-in. He Called. He Had A-a. And I Lost The Hand On The River. How Could He Make Such A Bad Call?
high stakes homegame (10,000$ buy-in). Our christmas tourney (20 players; 1 rebuy in first 2 hours). Final 5 are left. Everyone has been joking about how many times 7,4 would have won the hands...about 70% 7,4 would have got 2 pair, a straight, or a full house. I have 96,000 and change and the CHIP LEAD. 4th wins money. I\'m in the big blind with guess what THE 7,4 SPADES. 1st guy bets all-in 34,000...2nd and 3rd fold. 4th goes all in with about the same. I sit there laughing in my head about whether i make this rediculously loose call, but i did b/c i didn\'t have much to lose except the chip lead. I rationalized it to myself by thinking that one of them would lose anyway i would win money so i called... QUITE A MOMENT OF ANXIETY. 1st player holds a,a 4th player holds k,k and me with 7s,4s. Flop -> 7,4,9; Turn -> 7, River -> 4. Cigars dropped from peoples faces and hit the table and two business men stormed out pissed off. This might not be a great beat off the flop but preflop it is rediculous. Besides, i won 175,000$ and bought a porsche. Good day.

First hand of the tourney and i get dealt A8 off suit. bet and get called by one man. flop comes 884. Sittin on trips i bet and he calls. Next card is a 4 to give me 8\'s full of 4\'s i move in about half my remaining chips and he calls again. River is a King and he bets about half of what we both have left. I call and he flips over KK to make K\'s full of 8\'s. That is bad.

I am in a multi-table $5 No-Limit Hold\'em Tournament. We have just narrowed from 600 players to start down to around 50. I am sitting just above the average chip stack for the sum of all of the entrants. I have just been moved to a new table and the blinds are 100-200. I am sitting at around 4000 chips when I am dealt pocket kings in an early position. I raise to 600, The Dealer calls, as does the big blind. The flop comes down Kd 6d 6c. I\'m glad at this point this is not a live tournament because my jumping up and down and cheering would more than likely give my holdings away. Since there are 2 diamonds out I decide to check, and hope someone either bets or catches another diamond on the turn for a flush. They both check behind me and the turn comes 6s (another 6!) I\'m not really worried that either of them have 4 of a kind, and the only hand other than the 6 that beats me is pocket aces, I am relatively sure they didnt have that since they probably would want to charge a pair of kings starting on the flop. Feeling good about my hand at this point I bet about 3/4 the size of the pot. (Around 1500) The dealer calls with what I suspect to be a lower pocket pair. (maybe 10\'s?) The big blind folds. The river comes 6h (yep that\'s right 4 of a kind on the board). Now I am very upset because my nut full house has deteriorated to the point where I am actually playing the board. However I put my opponent on a lower pocket pair to make the call on the turn. So I go ahead and fire the rest of my 1900 chips to try and take the whole pot. He calls immediately and turns up Ace Queen and I have been eliminated from the tournament just a few places shy of the payout :[

Playing in a $0.25/$0.50 NL home game, the average pot is about $40-$60. People are playing incredibly loose. I\'m horribly short stacked with my last $20 versus five other people with at least $80 in fron of them, mostly because the perp on my left had pulled of a miracle runner runner straight flush against my AK high flush several hands before. I get dealt red KK in the BB. One raise and everyone just calls. I played it up, checking my watch to see the time so people would think I justed wanted to get out of there, and pushed all my chips in. Everyone folds back over to the perp in the small blind who stares me down and pushes in. I flip the cowboys, he glares at me and almost mucks his hand right there. He flips up his 3c6c and I\'m elated. I\'m going to triple up. The flop comes Ks 4c 7c giving me trip kings and the perp twelve outs - eight to the flush, four to the straight. The case King of clubs comes on the turn, giving him his flush but me Quad Kings. I thought I was going to pass out. Only the second time I\'ve ever had four-of-a-kind anything in hold\'em. He refuses to believe he\'s beat, and he\'s right. I don\'t think I need to say what card came next.

I Was Playing A 4-8 Table Last Night In Milwaukee, Wi... I Was Going To Leave After Getting A Few More Deals After Doubling My Buy-in. I Am Dealt Pocket Aces. I Raise Without Falter And Only One Player Stays With Me Till The End. He Stays In With A 5-8 Suited, And Hits The Flush On The River!! That Was Fine Since Pocket Aces Dont Always Win.. But The Next Deal I Get Ace-ten Suited. The Flop Gets Me Trip Tens!! I Raise Becuase Their Is Really Nothing On The Board To Scare Me.. Another Player Gets A Straight With The River.. The Next Deal (yes, Three In A Row) Gets Me An Ace-king Unsuited. The Flop Yields Me Two Pairs (aces And Kings).. I See Two 2\'s, But This Does Not Scare Me Too Much Since Who Would Stay In With So Many Raises With A Two?? This Girl Beats Me With Trip 2s After Staying In With 2-3 Unsuited!! What A Bad Set Of Beats!!!

This is the ultimate bad beat. I am up $1975 in profit and I wanted to be at $2000 even and cash out. I was playing $30/60 and got JQ diamonds in Big Blind. Flop comes 8 9 10 rainbow. I essentialy flop the nuts. But, honestly, there is no such thing as the nuts on Riverstars. There is one other player in the hand. I check, he bets $30 I re-raise him $60 he calls. The turn is a 8. I come out VERY AGGRESIVE... VERY AGGRESIVE. I bet $30, he raises me to $60, I re-raise him to $90, he then caps the bet at $120. The river is a 9. Hence the term Riverstars. So the board is showing 8 9 10 8 9. Before even clicking bet I know I am beat. I bet he raises all in for $27 more. What did he have? 83 offsuit... He stayed in with an 8... He wasnt even a blind!!!!!!! HE WAS IN FIRST POSITION. Besides losing my money, I lost my college tuition and am currently employed at Hess gas station... Nice hand.. Nice hand... Really

This is the worst beat possible that you can ever imagine. Im looking rather well with 3000 in play money playing in 5/10 NL. It was aprox 5:15 in the morning and i was looking to get to 4,000 and head off to bed for the night feeling super. I have Ace 10 offsuit in the big blind (no raise) the flop is 10 5 2 rainbow. The small blind raises 10 dollars and i RERAISE 400 dollars becasue i obviously flopped the nuts. He CALLS. the next street was a 2 of hearts. I obviously am sitting perfectly. small blind comes out again raising another 100 dollars. I RERAISE again 500 dollars. he calls. Then came 6th street, and it was another 2. Small blind again raises 10 dollars and i go all in for another 3000 dollars (play money) and he calls. i was ready to turn the computer off and go to sleep and this jackal turns over 7 2!!!!!!!!.. that loser had quads. i obviously had the nuts the whole way and he rivered me with quads!! this was the worst feeling of my life.. i had to wait another 2 hrs jus to get 1000 more in play money. i didnt end up going to sleep until 3 PM the next day.

NL Hold\'em $100 Freeroll: Been hanging on to my chips all tourny, had only three good hands out of at least 50, but almost 850 people was already out and I was still there. I\'m in the button, 100-200 blinds, then it comes, AKs; 5 out of 9 fold, one called, I raise to 400, the SB folds, the BB calls and the other one calls. Flop: A-9-4 rainbow, the BB checks, the other guy checks, I raise 200, the BB folds, the other calls. Turn: 2, the guy checks, I raise 400, I was sweating, I just wanted him to fold; but he just calls again. River: 8, no flush or straight possibilities, I go fiuuuu...., but then he raises 200, WHAT!!! did he slowplayed the whole hand?!, I call, but it wasn\'t slowplaying, it was just LUCK and REALLY bad play (rgggh...), the guy had 4-8 off, beat me 3/4 of my chips, and from there it was all up hill for me, ended 135th.

I was playing in a play money game at pokerroom.. on a 100-200NL table... as you cann create tables at pokerroom..with the max play-mone buy-in being 10,000 play chips..a man decided to create a 10,000 pre-flop ante table. You have to bet 10k preflop or fold! ...(as table owner you can boot people who don\'t bide by the rules.)..anyway i got well into this game and of course 10,000 play chips ante dwindled away quickly into my 133,000 stack...but i bult up to $2.3million play chips on 1 table...but then i ran into a player called \'felon\' a pokerroom legend....he had just over 5 million chips on the table... HERES THE BAD BEAT PART: Preflop- i bet 10k (10k is the minmum, not max)...excitedly with pp aces...felon re-raised to about 60k.. i remember just calling hoping to trap him on the flop... the flop amazingly came: A, 6, 6 I bet overbet the bet $150,000 aking him think i was trying to steal..but amazinlgy he re-raised to about $500,00...and i responded by going all in with my 2.3million in total..he quickly called... the next 2 cards were rags- the pot was about $4.5million....i showed my hand- a house of aces over 6s...he shoed four of a kind- 6s!!! i nearly died... you may say it was only play money but for 2 million play money player on pokerroom.com there is a top list called \'the top 100\' for the top 100 play money playerson pokerroom..at the time to get on the list you had yto have 3.5million- i was about #189 at the time...and you go down in pokerroom.com history if you make that list...i was so damn close but yet so far.. as time has gone by we have seen the invention of the 25k preflop, the 35k preflop, 1-3k preflop and even the all-in fold tables...the top 100 is a tall task to get on to nowadays as standards have improved....you have to get roughly $11,000,000...there is also a top 50 weekly player list on who has profited the most in the week...the winner of eah week goes into the hall of champios...i have been close once by coming 4th for the week.....

The Setting: A $10,000 No-Limit buy-in game in the heart of New York. The Players: Mike F.: A high stakes gambler who does just that - he gambles. A loose over-aggressive player with no regard for his or your cards. Mike T.: An absolute rock, if he\'s in he got Aces or Kings. Messel: Mike F., but to the extreme. He is a multi-millionaire - he\'s a retired businessman (started an online company and sold it for 325 million). This guy is an absolute maniac. Pushed all in preflop under the gun with 95 offsuit. Doesn\'t care about his money and is a jerk. We have been in a vicious fight all evening, ever since I rivered a spade in a 2,000 pot. Tom: Arguably best player of the bunch. Smartest and tight aggressive. He knows his odds. Me: This is my first game with the group. I\'m not rich, don\'t get me wrong. My day job is a 70,000 a year and this is way outside my range. I was a little drunk that night and I sat in at the club. The Stacks: Me (Marty): 16,000 Messel: 22,000 Tom: 7,000 Mike T.: 14,000 (still on fire after his Aces beating Mike F\'s Kings, but hasn\'t played a hand since) Mike F.: 11,000 (is on his 3rd rebuy) The Blinds: 100-200... no ante The Hand I am under the gun and pick up AsQs. I open for 500. Messel smooth calls and Tom raises it to 1,000. Mike T (the rock) folds, and Mike F calls. I decide to call and Messel calls. The flop comes [Js-3s-Ks] Couldn\'t rig a better flop!! Mike F opens for 1,000. That means that he is bluffing. I come over-the-top for 3,000 more. Tom folds. To spice things up, Messel pushes all in!! Mike F quickly folds and I call like a lightning bolt. Then I just remember - If I lose this pot, I will have some trouble paying my expenses. But nah... that\'s not and issue. Messel jumps up, practically dancing and turns his flush over. \"Take that ****-head! He exclaims.\" I just smile. He had the 4s7s. Finally I can get out of my cheap 1982 Ford piece of crap! New car, hear I come! The turn is the 6s -- Ahh what the hell, the more spades the merrier! Then I hear Messel utter the whispered words \"I feel the five jack***\" I wish I could say the river was a 10 of clubs, and that I drove away in my new BMW. But that would be a lie. That fateful 5s fell on the river and it didn\'t click right away. I still had that smile on my face. Messel jumps up off his seat and runs around for twenty minutes. What\'s funny is that his money meant nothing to him. To me, it meant everything. I get up, take my half-empty Corona, and walk away. As I exit, Messel yells, \"Hey ****\" and tosses me a single dollar bill. Thanks. That was the last poker game I will ever play in. All you need is the poker gods to frown on you once and you might end up like this. If u feel bad for me u could transfer me some money on pstars: Wegotwood lol

I have AA I go all in pre flop so moron with 3 6 of hearts calls me I feel good about my win. The board comes 7s 4h Ah 8h 10h I had more money he wins I throw a chip at him and bust him later. Lesson to belearned NEVER PLAY WITH PEOPLE WQHOI KNOW SQUAT ABOUT POKER, YOU\"LL LOSE! I\'d like tot take this time to address alsace\'s question about what he/she did wrong. THough my all in pre flop got called and beaten that was a freak. WHat you did wrong was not going all in preflop. This is a common mistake, you did raise it which should have been enough to drive the 7 8 offsuit out, but at times it\'s not enough. I go all in with AA to prevent such bad beats. If this guy was going to call any all in as it seems going all in when he hit a 7 (WOOHOO A SEVEN) the you did nothing wrong, you just got beaten and it happens. You didn\'t get out played or out foxed you got unlucky.
CRY CRY CRY.... is this the Whining Board.? Since everyone else has a whining story, I will add mine.... Having some luck, so moved up to 15/30 table. I was dealt Qs, Qc, and decided to slow play for a moment. One guy raised, then I re-raised, and everyone else folded. Flop was Qh, 7c, 2d Raising/Re-raising continues... Turn was 4s He keeps raising me and I am re-raising.... I am thinking \"what can he have that would beat QQQ?\" Flush draw.. NO Straight draw.. NO Maybe... a Full House from the flop/turn draw, but doubtful ? So.. River comes up K, and he shows his Pocket K\'s...to make KKK over my QQQ - That\'s Hold Em

I\'m playing a $20 sit and go, and am dealt Q K. I raise three bets and have one caller. Flop comes down 9 10 J. I flop a nut straight, and check. I get raised, so I reraise back at him. He moves all in and I immediately call. He shows A 10. So I\'ve got him in bad shape, and I don\'t even understand why he\'d call with just a pair of 10s and an inside straight draw. Now what comes down on the turn but a 10. Alright, I\'m still in good shape. River comes down, yes another 10. He made four of a kind on runner, runner 10s. Probably one of my worst bad beats ever.

i am playing a 10/20 nl 1K min buy in home game in dallas. it\'s late, around 4 in the morning so we are 4-handed now. i am dealt ace ten of clubs in the bb...it is checked to me so i make a modest raise of 250$. i am smooth called by a player in first position with ace five and called by the player in the small blind who has pocket queens (he played this hand wrong). the flop comes A(h) 8(c) 3(c). i have top pair descent kicker (four-handed) and nut flush draw. the sb (queens) check and i open with a 1K bet and then the player in first position (ace 5) calls and the player with pocket queens reraises all in for about 6K more. after thinking about it i made the right call and called his all in...then out of nowhere ace five guy calls the all in. now he had the five of diamonds so he sitting on a two outer because one of his fives gives me the nut flush...and of course he hits his red five to win with two pair aces and fives but you knew that or else i wouldnt be typing this to begin with. after that beat i was left with 560 dollars and confusion...why would someone risk there stack with that garbage?

I was playing at my buddies house, low stakes no-limit hold\'em. i am chip leader but only by a few dollars. i am first to act pre-flop, i have K of clubs, J of clubs, i raise double the big blind, there are only four players left, the button folds small blind calls, big blind folds. heads up me and the guy right behind me in the chip lead. flop comes out 10 of clubs Ace of Clubs, 2 of clubs. small blind bets, and we then re-raise quite a few times, until he finally puts them all in. i call and we flip our cards. he shows 10 of diamonds, 10 of spades. my nut flush still beats his set of 10\'s. the turn comes out, 10 of hearts. he thinks he has this hand won and i see my night coming to an end. Low and behold, i hit my only out left. The Queen of clubs!!! my Royal flush beat his quad 10\'s. The worst part is, we were playing at his house so he had to sit there and watch me play the rest of the game out with his chips.

There are ALWAYS stupid beats online, i get sick of it, but they are worse in person.... in person game: I have pocket kings... so I raise before hand and the other guy calls... all low cards come, all diamonds, and one of my kings is a diamond...so i raise and somewhat slow play but not really and he calls with his ace some suit.. and a queen which is a diamond diamond. The turn comes a queen of spades. This leaves me with pair of kings higher then the highest on the board the queen and still a diamond flush draw if a nother diamond comes for a king high flush... so I go all in... this idiot thinks about it and finally says call with his pair of queens (highest on the board) and ace high kicker, the only thing that can save him is another queen or an ace but not the ace of diamonds cause that would make m a higher flush, the river is an ace... and i lose to two pair... lol ugh

I have played poker for a long time. Like everyone, you think you are better than you really are. I saw holdem tournaments on TV and became interested in hold em. A friend of mine, who I play golf with, told me how he was winning money playing poker on the Internet. I signed up with Party Poker. They have a \"play money\" site that I played on for several months. Another friend of mine works trade shows on the convention circuit. He told me about a convention that he worked at in Tunica, Mississippi. I had never heard of Tunica before. He told me it was just like Las Vegas only a whole lot closer and with better golf courses. Now golf is something I love. I play in a regular group and have for years at the Country Club where I belong. One day, several months ago, this poker playing friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in being part of a group of 8. The plan was to fly out of Central Illinois to Biloxi, Mississippi to play golf. He thought there would be an opportunity to gamble too so I jump at the idea and rearrange appointments at my office and cleared it with my wife. His trip turned out not to be a poker playing opportunity, because no one in that group played poker. About a month later after I was asked to go on this trip, the friend who asked me to be part of this group of eight, tells me that three of this group were dropping out. He said that the group size was now down to five and that they had taken a vote and \"I was out.\" Some friends I thought, I could arrange my own golf trip. What if I could golf and gamble too? I could do him one better. I started searching the internet for my own golfing vacation and remembered what my friend had said about Tunica. I asked three other intdividuals if they would like to go for a four day six golf round trip to Tunica. Tunica was only a five hour drive in my Van. The price at the Grand Victoria was very good, the courses were great, and my three friends (all non-poker players) readily agreed. I got to play in the $4/8 game for about an hour the first night there. It took about half an hour to get to the table. It was pretty uneventful and I think I was close to even. The next two days we played 36 holes and all of us were pretty tired and went to bed. The last day was Monday, the night of the final four. Only one round of golf was scheduled for that day. The University of Illinois team was already knocked out of the tournament, so I was not that interested in watching the finals and decided to play hold-em. I got to the poker room after dinner about 8:00. Thought I would play for a couple of hours. When I got to the Casino and went to the card room where I was informed that there was a waiting list for the $4/8 table. \"How long is the wait,\" I asked? \"There are four people ahead of you, so I would imagine about 45 minutes to an hour\", he replied. \"But if you want\", he said, \"there is an opening at the $15/$30 table and we will call you when a seat opens up.\" I thought about this proposition for a moment and concluded that I was there to gamble, I was short on time, wanted to play and to play now. I could not imagine me going back home and telling my poker playing friend who went to Biloxi, that I didn\'t get to play any poker in Tunica. This was justice, retribution and pay back. I needed to play. \"How many chips do I need.\" I asked and was told that $300 would probably be the minimum. I pulled out three $100 bills and was escorted to the table. I went through those chips like shit through a goose, or so the saying goes. I had just purchased my second $300 worth of chips when a tap comes on my shoulder. \"Sir, there is an opening at the lower limit table, would you like to take the seat\"? I resisted the urge to say, \"sister, you can bet your sweet ass I do\". \"Mam, I replied, \"I am a little out of my league here.\" I mucked my hand and followed her, head down and tail between my legs, to the lower limit table. I sat down and had played two hands at the lower limit table when I feel another tap on my shoulder. \"Sir, we are checking the video of your play at the last table, we think you were involved in a \"bad beat.\" I know I just started playing hold-em, but what could I have possibly done to deserve such special scrutiny? I felt lucky I was a lawyer and hoped that the local judiciary would show me some professional courtesy. \"What do you mean\", I asked the lady. She repeats. \"We think you were in a bad beat\". Now all kinds of things ran through my mind. If I was cheating, I was certainly doing a poor job of it having just made a $300 donation to the Tunica Holdem Betterment Society. In due time they explained what a bad beat was. Indeed, the bad beat had taken place during the hand that I had mucked when I left the table. After completing the tax form, they paid me off with $868 in cash. It just goes to show that it is better to be lucky than good. I now play, for the most part, for real money at the $25 pot limit table at Party Poker. They have a \"bad beat\" site too, but I do not play there. Why you ask? It also has to do with golf. On July 16th, 1959, I was fourteen years old and playing golf with my mother and two of her friends. Made a hole in one. Have not made one since. Contribute regularly to the \"hole in one club\" and have not collected a cent in 30 years. So now you know why I don\'t play in the bad beat room at Party Poker. It is about the same odds as my hole in one. It will never happen again. Or will it?
well i was in a 20+2 tourny with AA i raise and chip leader reraises, i call all in and he calls with kk. i can take a loss to a set but not when the flop is AKK unreal

This is not a Bad Beat, but it is a hand i will never forget. I was playing in my weekly poker game(blinds were $5 and $10) and the cards were delt out and i had K and J of diamons. betting goes around, then on the flop it was 10,Q,A of diamons as well, so i slow play it by checking, even though i know i have the winning hand. And there were two other people in the hand, the first one checks as well and the second person bets $10, so right now im thinking YES!!!!!, but then i reraise to $50 and both of the people folds. So with a ROYAL FLUSH I won a wopping $40. That was the first royal flush i have ever seen, in 2 years of playing, and probly the lowest payout for a royal flush ever.

I beg to differ \"worried ps player\" i believe that UB has to be the worst river rat site on the net. I have played for about 3 hours today alone in about 5 freerolls, and i have seen at least 30 river beats with hands like 82 over KK and 95 over AK suited. UB has to be rigged. If you watch closely the big stacks always get their river card. The only was to get an advantage in a freeroll is go all in on the first hand and hope to win a pot of 3 or 4 thousand. After that you just have to get lucky. UB SUCKS DONKEY RECTUM

This just happened about an hour ago in a nl 20+2 tourney...I caught pocket 10s, so I raised 150 chips (3x bb), only bb called...flop comes 2s, 9d, 10s...I bet 150 again...he calls again...turn is 7h...I bet 150 again...he calls again...hmmm i wonder...flush draw or big pp...my trips still beat him, even if he has trips...the river is a 9s...I caught the boat and assume he catches the flush...I go all-in he calls with a jack high flush...bye-bye...He called my original raise with js4s...Not a smart move...And he kept calling with only a draw...this wasn\'t a bad beat, but a great play that I\'m proud of...I just had to vent

$2/$4 NLHE Ring table. I have JJ and raise it to $50 preflop. I get called by two other players. Flop is J-7-6 rainbow. I bet $50 and one player moves all in for $300. I call. Turn is a 7 and river is a 7. Other player had called preflop raise with 76os and hit two miracle cards to win.

alrite i get 10h Jh in the pcoket and raise to 200 with blinds 50-100, so the original table of 10 goes down to 3. Me, chip leader and some new guy. alrite so the flop comes 10, j, 7 rainbow, no flush, and a long shot straight. no one bets and it comes around to me so i throw in 200. everyone calls turn card comes q. everyone checks and i bet 400. new guy raises all in, and the chip leader folds. new guy flips over 9 9. he went ALL IN WITH POCKET NINES WITH 10 J AND Q ON THE BOARD. river card comes out 9. what else do i have to say? he has 2 outs with 3 overcards already on the board and im obviously representing at least one of them. any feedback on what i did wrong? juss a average bad beat by a bad player? email me xAznxBoyx916(at)yahoo.com

This is from a $20 Cash game. I go all in with pocket Aces pre-flop. My \"friend\" calls with Jack Six offsuit. No cards hit for either of us on the flop. The turn then comes a Jack. Then the river comes a Jack. Well that busted me and mad me very very angry. But you gotta take it both ways guys. :)

I\'m playing at a friends house with total of 10 players (never played against 7 of them). $100 buy in. The first hand I get KK. I\'m right of button so everyone calls a small early raise so I call to the flop. K 3 3 rainbowed. Beautiful! All checks until the player to the right of me bets 1/4 of stack. Beautiful! He\'s sitting on 33, K3, or bluffing KK. I call and raise him same amount, he calls. Next card, 5. Beautiful! He still believes he\'s in good shape. He goes all in, I call! He shows 33 I show my cowboys and what do you think happens next.....I am put out after playing for 2 minutes with a FOUR OF A KIND.......Forth Three on the River!

08-06-05, 07:50 AM
The pot at our bi-daily home game tourney was up to 250 dollars (10 dollar buy-in) two rebuys in first 2 hours. I had more than double the amount of chips of anyone else and was dealt pocket 9s. As I am BB everyone folds to SB and he raises to T20. You start off with T40 and i was up to over 300. Blinds were 4/8 so I call with my 9s. The flop bring AQ3 rainbow. While the initial raiser is a maniac i still check assuming that he has hit a pair of Qs at least. He checks as well and the turn brings a 9. BINGO. Every suit you could imagine was on the board so I was not afraid of a flush or any kind of straight. He checks to me again so I try to get some kind of action and throw in a T40 bet. As he smooth calls me I put him on QK thinking that he is scared of the A. As for if he has A2 he woulda reraised thinking his aces were good(just the kind of player he is). The river brings a Q and I think BINGO. He bets HUGE and I reraise all in which he could only cover half of what I had. Being the cocky player he is he SCREAMS out CALL and throws down his rockets. By far the hardest beat that I have ever taken thinking that my full house beat anything that he had.

i am the GREATEST poker plaer here, and i know it because i WILL be playing tournaments when I am 21 years of age, and i already know, for my rookie season i am going to at least win 3 world poker title tours and a couple world series bracelets, watch out for me, they call me JEWCY ok my bad beat, i did this to someone it was sooooo great! i was dealt pocket kings (spades and hearts) and the other guy had pocket aces (spades and diamonds) we go back and forth and we basically both go all in, i was the chip leader at a ten person table with about $3.50 which is a lot to our game which is held in a jewish temple every shabbash and on the flop comes ace of hearts, ace of clubs and queen of hearts, this guy has quads, and we are all going crazy, because the winner get a free cup of matza ball soup, than comes a ten of hearts, and than a queen of hearts, so i bust his quads he flopped for my royal flush, and i had some matza with that too, it was a good tasty salt ball

I was playing a 1-2 No Limit Table $100 buyin at the poker room at Seneca Falls Casino in Niagara Falls. I was on the button and I had about $150-$160 so far. I had the button and I played 5d7d suited Diamonds. There was about 4 people in the hand that called the big blind of $2. The flop came 4c,6s,9h basically a rainbow flop but gave me an open ended straight draw. The small blind checkd then the big blind bet $10 which was called then I called the $10 for a resaonable price to see the turn and the ssmall blind folded. The turn came my money card the 3d with a board showing 3,4,9, and 6 I was chomping at the bit hoping someone would bet hard and I could go all in. Sure enough the big blind went $20 the person this left folded and I immediately raised him all in and I had about $127 left which he immediately called shwoing me 2 pair 4s and 6s and I showed him the straight but even before his jaw could drop seeing my straight the dealer shows the 2nd 4 on the board giving him the full house 4s over 6s on the river. I was not at all lhappy to see that kind of money roll away on th eriver or as the guy sitting next to me would say to get jerked off on the river. I can\'t blame the guy for calling with 2 pair not seeing much on the board but hate losing such a big pot on the river. I eventually took my last $40 and quadrupled it in 2 hours but it sucked knowing I could have been up $200-$300 oh well that\'s poker for you.
I had KK and raised before the flop and everyone folded but one guy he reraised me but I felt good about the hand and reraised him all in for $250 (which was most of my money that I had just deposited on the site). He called pretty fast and flipped over 66. I was very happy for about three seconds the flopp came QQ6 giving him the boat. I was sick in my stomack. I was thinking could I please get a K in the next two cards?? nope and the guy said he was sorry but he was tired of being pushed around on the table. He also said he would give lots of action for a while but I am pretty sure I went on tilt and loaded my last $50 and called AQs and lost that hand. now I have to tell my wife I lost $300 in two hands.
Was playing In a live 100 euro buyin. I had a good stack and was at a real loose/ weak table. I caught AA in second position. First position raises the 100/200 blinds to 600. What is he doing? I have about 1200 in chips so I raise all in. Everyone else folds and I show my aces, he sighs and shows Q7 of spades. I almost start laughing. Sure enough the flop comes with 3 spades including the aces of spades which gives me trips. I dont catch a boat and lose. I was upset but nothing I can do there.

Down to 5 in a tourney. I am in second chip position and on the button, so I bet $65,000 with A7o. I got called by the chip leader. I feel a bit shaky with my moderately weak ace, but after the flop comes AA7, I know I got the nuts and the smile widens. He check-raised me all in, and I couldnt get my chips in fast enough. I felt proud when the software turned up my boat, especially when I saw his pocket jacks :-) I knew he needed running jacks to administer the worst beat in the history of poker. What do you think happened? Yep....... BAM, BAM........ Turn was the Jd, river Jc... I went from taking a massive chip lead to being out in 5th place. It was, to this day, and will forever be, the worst beat I ever took. That is the one and only time I\'ve ever lost a pot when flopping a full house. Thankfully though, the guy who administered the beat down didnt win the tourney either. What are ya gonna do? Given that hand 1,000 more times, I\'d play it the same way each and every one of them :-)

Late position player has KK reraises a preflop raise and makes it $10 to go before the flop. The Big Blind smooth calls with JJ. The Flop comes down K 10 J, The BB moves all in and is called quickly by the other player with top set. The BB then turns the case Jack in the deck for Quads. This card was about a 1%, 1 outer. Incredible, worst beat ive ever seen.

after suffering my worst run since starting to play i decided to change strategies. so last nite we had a game between 8 of us all putting in £20 - big game were mostly students! anyhow it worked a treat- all nite i made call after call and found myself heads up against what i consider the most aggressive player we play with - believe me this guy goes all in so much u just cant get a fix on what he has! skillfully i played him down until i had about 80% of the chips. time to put the pressure on..........he goes all in with A9, i look down AK.....couldnt get my chips in fast enough......first card on the flop.......the nine! next all in i have AK again he has A6- flop 44J then another jack then a five .....split pot. then after wearing him down to about 10 percent of the chips i put him all in with K9 hearts he calls saying he is pissed off and just wants to finish it.............so he throws over his 89 off suit - i smile ---happy days ii think- my first win in over a month - i show him my k9hearts he leaves the room in disgust to go to the toilet and shaking my hand congratulating me on his way. he comes back and says \'how did it go\' the look of disgust in my dface said it all - the first card of the flop?....................an 8. after a few more hands he\'s up to about 35% of the chips. next i have pocket 5\'s flop the set - check he bets - i call ....i put him on top pair. flop was KQ5 , next card is a 2 again i check he bets. next comes up another queen - i\'ve made the house!!!!! i check he bets , i move him all in he calls........with a Q5 in his hand. next hand i get 66 with the price of the blinds i move all in he stays in with j9 and flops his jack!!!! not happy but hey thats poker!!!!!!!
so i start the hand with pocket 4\'s, it\'s heads up game and the flop comes 6 4 8. I set my 4\'s so i barely raise since flop was a rainbow and i want him to stay in. He calls me. The turn comes 8. I now have a full house and i get the feeling my opponent picked up his set. I check-raise him all-in. With both of us being all-in the river comes 8. He got his quads, the only card that could\'ve helped him on the river beats my worthless full house.
Late in single table tourney, 4 players remain. I have just over $900 left. Blinds 100-200 Dealt 88 in big blind. Called 200 by small blind. Raise all in. Small blind calls shows KQ os Flop comes 899 Turn K River K Ouch! Is there anything I should have done differently?

Oh NO! What a bad beat, you were only a 2-1 favorite when the money went in. Hardly worth a post at all.
Billed as the Largest Amature poker tourney, I was playing in the Park City Poker Round up in Park City Ks. 2100 enteries on the 1st day. I am just about even going in to the break. Come back and get delt AK hearts. I am 1st to act and call the big blind at $600. Next 3 people fold 4th guy calls, dealer folds, small blind calls and big blind checks. Flop comes Q 9 2, all hearts. SWEET! The nut flush. Small and big blind check so I check thinking the other guy has hit something. He bets $600. The 2 blinds fold. I reraise to all in, about another 1500. The guy calls. We flip over and I show him the nuts. He has 9 2 off suit. Turn comes and it is a 5 spade. River comes and it is a 2 clubs. I would play it the same way again.

Single table tournie. I get dealt KK. I raise about 325. Guy next to me goes all in with AJ offsuit. I call. Flop comes K 9 3. I flop a set. He is about 1.9 percent to win from there with no flush possiblity just runner strait. Turn comes Q and river comes 10 giving him the only two cards he could have won with.

3-6 Hold Em game with the BB jackpot at $28,000 and change. The BB hand is aces full of jacks or better. I limp in with QJ of diamonds with four others. I\'m in the 8 seat on the button. The flop comes AKK, two diamonds and a club. I\'ve flopped the Royal Draw, and by the time it gets to me, my raise makes it 3 bets. The No. 1 seat caps it and the No. 3 seat calls. I call. The turn is a J of hearts and we cap the betting again among the three of us. The river is the 10 of hearts, giving me a straight. Big Deal! The 1 seat bets, the 3 seat raises. By now I\'ve figured out what\'s going on and announce I\'m folding but ask the dealer to hold onto my cards. The one seat calls and turns over pocket aces for aces full of kings. The three seat turns over pocket kings for quads and everybody looks at me like I\'m crazy for calling all that way. After the celebration is over the dealer shows my cards and everybody sees how close we came to a 3-way bad beat, which would have been a REALLY BAD BEAT for the aces full, who would have been left out in the cold with a table share if that river had been the 10 of DIAMONDS!! My share was $800 and something for a table share.

Okay y\'all complainning how your Aces-Full was beat by a Turn/River Quad and how the opponent had only ONE out and hit it. Didn\'t it occur to you that online Poker might be rigged? That Poker sites have their staff all over the table to suck in players\' chips? Why don\'t these bad beats occur in real life? At Bowmans, more often than not, in heads-up tournament or even in multi-tourney I am delt AK suited while someone else has AA. Once I had AA against KK (both all in) and of course, K hit the board. And check out this a$$hole: I have AK preflop, I raise, one more player left, he re-raises me with 8-4 offsuit! Flop comes A-A-2 (no flush draw). I bet, he raises, I reraise and he calls. Turn is a 5. Again, I bet, he raises, etc. River, you guessed it, NOTHING but a 3. So we have A-A-2-5-3. I have AK, he has 84 off. If that is not rigged I don\'t know what is, I am 99% sure he was a Bowmans employee. Today I had ALL bad beats such as all in with A9 suited heads-up against 3-2 offsuit (idiot calls all in) and flop is A92, Turn is blank, and river is a 2. Online Poker is not random, it\'s RIGGED! There are Pokersite-staff in there all the time and they can control what cards come up and if you don\'t believe that you\'re a retard.

I don\'t know whether to attribute this to my suspicions with PokerStars as a system, or to chalk it up solely to stupid play by others. I\'m dealt AKo, and am short stacked on account of having JJ broken by a suited 45. But that\'s another story. So, I\'m dealt AKo, I raise triple the blind and get one caller. Flop comes out A 6 A. I push the rest of my stack in, not fooling around because I am honestly terrified of letting all five cards come down on PokerStars. I get called, the cards are flipped and I realize that I\'m up against...what could it be?...oh, it\'s a 45o! Ridiculous play. So I\'m sure you know what\'s coming. Turn 7, River 8. Great.

I\'m heads up and chip leader by about 1000 in a 9 person sit n\' go. I\'m dealt 7J off suit and BB so I check preflop. Flop come 7 K 7 and I check hoping he would bet. He does. He bets 200 i raise 500 he calls. Turn is a 3. He goes all-in and of course I call. He shows pocket 3s hitting the miracle 2 outer. I end up losing because I was down so much.

Down to 3 tables of the 15k Guaranteed Nightly Tournament ($20 buyin) with approximately 50K chips... average stack size around 23k. Blinds are at 500-1000 and early position tight player limps.. Im holding 10 10 in the SB and make standard raise of 3000 to go. BB folds and early limper calls. Flop comes 10 9 2 rainbow. I check and early limper moves allin for his remaining 37k.. I quickly call. He turns over JJ. Turn 7, River 8 ...giving him runner runner nut straight. I am crippled and bust out a few spots short of the final table 30 minutes later. =( That one stung.

I was dealt QQ and the other player was dealt 55. We were about evenly stacked so I raised him all in and had about 1000 chips remaining after the bet. Flop comes A Q 8 rainbow suits. Now I got a set of Queens, the only way he can beat me is with runner runner 5\'s on the turn and river. Sure enough 5 of hearts on the turn and then the 5 of diamonds on the river. Nothing like getting sucked out on a 100-1 shot. Without a doubt the worse beat I have ever taken!!!

This is awful, okay, I was dealt Kings on the button and I raised, 3 stayed in. The flop brought 3,9,6, great for me. I was feelin fine. These guys were fish, and I was poundin em with check raises like crazy, with obvously, the best hand. Next was the 8, which was pretty scary for me, but I figured not again (the 2 hands before I lost on the river with AA and AK). So I pushed it all in. All of em called (newBs) The last card, of all cards, was a 10, I yelled \"Oh come on!!!\" When the hands were flipped, one guy had a K7, I HAD HIM DONE!!! Oh well, Ill win a hand sometime.
I was playing at the trump casino in gary Indiana, in a 2/5 no limit game. I was in the big blind with king 4 suited, and an aggressive player in late position made it 25 to go, everyone at the table folded to me so i gave him action. The flop came out k k 4 rainbow (no flush draw). Im first to act so i check to him, he bets the pot so i smooth call him with the nuts. The next card is the Q of hearts, making the board Kh-k-4-Qh. I lead out for 100, and he raises me like another 350, which was the rest of my stack. I get my money in the pot quicker than he does, then looking embarrased he shows me a 9h-10h. I smile confidently, when the river comes out Jh! The only out in the deck he had. It was like a nightmare i couldn\'t wake up from. Still to this day i haven\'t seen anyone ever go from a 989 to 1 favorite to a loser. But, like they say thats poker baby!

on the button i get dealt KK, action folds around to me, and I raise 4 times the blind. Small blind folds, big blind calls. Flop is K-2-7. Big blind goes all-in, i immediately call. Big Blind shows pockets 10s. Turn 10, river 10. My flopped nut set is turned and rivered by quads, someone tell me the odds of that happening.
Just think of your bad beats and read about the rest of them on here? If you ask me this happens to much online and seems suspisious to me doesnt it to you people? We need to boycot these over seas web sites because the rules and regulations arent as strict as in the U.S.A If we do this will it do any good? I played in vegas for awile and listening to the table talk you would be suprised of the info I heard. First of all the scariest one was that a dealer in vegas has a friend who has a descrambler, which makes all cards visable to him. Because the programs are written with the cards visable, than the back side of the card is added as the scrambling. WOW? He also said that the web sites do pick up on it sometimes, the kicker is, have you ever been on a web site playing and all of a sudden you and maybe several people are booted off the site? Well that is the poker site detecting the cheat, wow has that happened alot!!!!! So the times you are not kicked off is someone knowing what you have? Been too many times for me I\'ve gotten beat and the only way I see that person beating me is that he knows what I have? I dont know and dont care any more because I dont deposit a dime into any of these any more, but I love poker and want to play, but I want to play fair and be played fair! The other cheat I heard is the most common one, it is two to four people on the table are partners and talk with MSN on telling what each have, this crap can be avoided with U.S.A laws????? Lets do some thing about this so we can play what we love and not be cheated!

I had 67 of diamonds in late position. Medium raise by guy on the button (trying to steal) and about 4 callers. Flop comes 5s 8d 4d, giving me the nut straight with a flush and straigh-flush draw. Check around to the guy on the button. He comes in with a moderate bet (about 3x blinds). I call as does 1 guy in front of me. the river comes the 5c. Check, Check, guy on the button makes a huge bet. The only other guy folds, I put him on trip 5\'s. I slow call. Turn comes 5d giving him four 5\'s and me a straight-flush to the 8. He goes all in and I call. I love being on this end of the bad beat.

bluffing all in with ace high and having your opponent call with 8-7 and hit an 8 on the river is not exactly a "bad" beat... how bout you rethink what constitutes a bad beat and repost when you've truly been beaten badly... MORON

I was dealt pocket 10\'s. I limped in to get more action. The tournament just started and the blinds were only 50-100. There were 5 players who called the big blind. The flop came down Ah-10c-Ad. I flopped the full house. Everyone checked to me, so I went all in announcing \"Who\'s slow playing?\" seat 1 called with Ac-3s. The turn came 10. I made QUADS. The river delivered the final ACE. Ace of spades. This was the bad-beat of the week!!!! River Ryan

Yup Im pretty new to this online poker thing. I really enjoy playing live or online and I\'d like to think that I am a little better than my average opponent. Anyway made a small (very small) deposit and turned it into over 500 in a week playing cheap NL cash games and 1/2 stud. I didnt really want to leave those games for higher limits because they were my bread and butter. Well one day i was just looking at a 1/2 blinds Nl cash game. It was weaker that the .25 .50 that I was playing. Every player except for 1 was under the min buy in. And the 1 guy who actually had over 200 was HAMMERED! The guy couldnt get a message on the chat board that was even readable not to mention he went all in 3 out of the 5 hands that i observed. Needless to say I liked my chances. Sat down and in about 15 minutes I had 150 (125 dollar buy in) and was looking at mid position kk. Fishman (the drunken 1.) raises to 10, i re raise 25 in hopes that he would push them yet again. He did just that. I instcall and and am thrilled to see not even an ace, but a k/3 clubs. I was not thrilled to see three clubs on the flop. (sigh!) My table was berating him. I didnt bother. That was the most money that I had ever had in a single pot and it coincided beautifully w/ the worst most hideous beat that I could ever imagine. Like I said the table was berating him saying he was tilting and he replies. \"yea rigjt im tlitting.\" I have to end this post now and go vomit. Thanks for lending an ear!
DO NOT PLAY BLACK JACK AT PARADISE POKER!!!!!!!!! i placed a 10 dollar bet and i was dealt a jack and 2... the dealer was dealt a down card and a 2 showing.. then all of a sudden the dealer flips over black-jack.. pssh F*** \"the integrity\" of these sites they are full of it... I repeat DO NOT PLAY BLACK JACK AT PARADISE POKER..
I was in a 200NL Hold em tourney of about 50 players. With about 10 left and blinds at 500- 1000 with 2000 antes. I picked up two tens in middle posistion and I raised to four times the big blind(4000). No one had called it front of me and I got two callers after my raise. The flop came 10-7-3 rainbow. I felt my hand was good and I felt that checking would induce a bet and I could slow play my set of tens. The guy to my left led out and bet about half the size of the pot. The player to his left folded and I decided to smooth call after a bit of acting. The next card brought another 3, I was so excited that I have this monster pot in front of me that I am about to rake. The guy led out again with another large raise, which I then raised, tripling it. Then he pushed all in which I called immediatly. He showed pocket king and I showed my 10\'s full. Then the last card you guessed it. A horid King that absolutely crippled my chip stack. His kings full over my tense full. The worst beat of my life.

Playing in a championship tournament with Party League Poker I had made it into the final two tables. The event started with 103 players. I\'m sitting at one of two tables with 15,000 in front of me sitting in the big blind. Blinds are 5,000 and 10,000. I draw Ace, Jack off suit. Looking around I realize that there\'s only 11 players left. I push \"All-In\" thinking this might be the best I\'ll see and if I don\'t pull something out this time around I\'m going out next hand. Three players call my all in for a main pot of 60,000. The flop come down Ace, Queen, King rainbow! Hot damn! I\'m sitting with top pair and a decent kicker. Not to mention the straight draw! The guy next to me goes all in for 30,000 and has one caller. The Fourth player folds. Cards are turned up and I\'m the leader. The guy to my left shows Ace, 10 suited. The girl across the table shows a pocket pair of Jacks. The turn card is another Ace and I\'m sitting high on the hog with a set and the big kicker! I don\'t want the straight anymore cause I\'ve got this in the bag! Hear comes the river! It\'s that damn 10 and the guy to my left wins it all with Aces Full beating my miserable straight and sending me home in 11th!!!! Arrrrggghhhh!!!!!

The tight table talker raises pre flop so I call with my pair of threes and see the flop K 8 3. He bets big and I guess that he\'s got AK and I just call. Turn is now a 5 and he bets again, I raise, he reraises and I go all in and he calls proudly exclaiming he\'s got the nuts and turns over trip kings...river is my single out 3 and I reply no, I think I have the nuts and the table laughs as his remaining chips scatter the board.

playin a cash game and pick up 2 queens. this absolute madman rearaises me and i call. flop comes A, 10, 4. he goes all in and i have him covered by .75 cents. i call him even wit the A on board. turn comes 9, river, 7. the guy had J 8 and hit RUNNER RUNNER str8 to beat me. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
I am cashing out at 5:15 and right now its 5:14 so this is my last hand, I get king 7 offsuit and I limp in the flop comes K 7 6, rainbow and I check my friend bets $1 I raise $2 he calls next card is a 4, I bet $1 and he goes all in with top two pair and I imediately call, he is saying how lucky I am because he had two pair kings and sixes and he 2pair kings and sevens. Well, the river card is a six the only card in the deck that could help him instead of doubleing up I go home with nothing.

The last 3 times I have had A A, I have lost: 1) to a J 5 suited (not even the flush beat me. he filled in a straight 8-Q on the river. 2) to K Q offsuit. not even to the straight. four diamonds hit the board and he made a cheesy flush on the river. by the way, i had flopped the set of aces as well. 3) to J J when he made his set on the river.

blinds are 1000/2000, I\'m in BB with QQ, folds around to button, raises 5 thousand on top, LB folds, I push him all in...Calls without blinking. Q9os vs QQ, can\'t remember how it came out, but board ends up being 9,9,8,8,5. Guy then tries to explain to me how he did that yesterday to some guy with KK, almost like that was his plan. You know what REALLY sucks? The guy is going to go home thinking he\'s good...

I was playing in a tournament and was in 7th position overall with 93 players left. About 350 players participated. I am in the big blind with KK. I do not remember how much the blinds were. 2 players called and the button raises about 3 times the big blind. The button was in 1st chip position overall. I reraise about half my total stack. The other players fold, and the button just calls. The flop comes KQQ. I have a full house. Kings over Queens. I check to try and trap, and the button goes all in. I call all in and the button flips over only A2 offsuit. He is caught bluffing. The turn comes a Q, and the river the 4th Q. I lose the hand with QQQQK to his QQQQA. I am eliminated from the tournament. This guy goes on to win the tournament and it\'s approx $7000 first place prize. I get nothing.

So i call the big blind raise with pocket AAs and I was trying to get cute. Slow play em and nobody raises. The flop comes down As Ah Qs. So im like crappin my pants. I check and so does the small blind. The next card off is a Ts. I hope that he has a flush draw and bet 100 dollars. He calls and the next card is like a deuce or something. I bet like 500 he bets all in. I call and flip over my rockets like im awesome. He sits for a second like hes amazed like he lost. Then throws down his royal flush. That actually happened. No joke.

A couple of my friends went to a casino in Indiana a few months ago. My one buddy was playing 6/12 limit hold \'em and won 2 pots in a row. When this happens a \'Kill Pot\' is created and the limits double so the game became a 10/20 limit game. Anyways for this kill pot hand the guy to his left is raising pre-flop and reraising and another guy is re-raising with Pocket Kings, and there\'s one other guy that\'s calling everything, the flop happens after the betting is capped. The flop is K-3-common card, all different suits (1 heart, keep that in mind). So the guy across the table makes his trips, but the guy next to my buddy keeps betting and raising until it\'s capped. The turn is a heart so there are now 2 hearts on the board and it also makes a 2-pair for the guy that has just been calling all the bets/raises. Betting is capped again after the turn. The river makes a third heart. So the board has 3 hearts (no pairs on board) The guy to the left of my friend bets and the guy with his KKK calls and so does the guy with 2-pair. The guy with his trip Kings shows his hand and next is the guy with 2-pair. So now you are wondering what the guy who was doing all the raising has.... 2/3 of HEARTS!!!!! and makes a bs FLUSH with a runner-runner! The guy with the Kings was so pissed off at him but the guy with his cute 2/3 of hearts had this to say about his hand after the flop, \"I had to stay in, I had a pair of 3\'s!\" Everyone at the table not involved in that hand was cracking up. The pot wound up being over $700.

HAS TO BE THE MOST RIGGED POKER SITE ON THE NET! I repeat: RIGGED. They have shill-player on tables, usually where there are players that have recently made withdrawals. For those of you that don\'t know, Shill players are fake players that are paid by the Poker site to play at tables from the Poker site\'s office where they have the ablility to know everyone\'s cards and control them (flop, turn, river) using the Poker site\'s own software in order to take everyone\'s money. Believe me online Poker is NOT random. Last month I was up $5800. I am a Poker expert by the way. In real life whenever we play with friends (10 player tourneys), I almost always finish 1st or 2nd. So anyways, I did what I never did before: cash-out. And guess what happened, \"shills\" started STEALING my money! At the $3/6 NL, I am delt AQ, flop A Q 10 (no flush draw) I bet $12, someone raises me to $36, I go all-in for almost $300 fearing the potential straight draw but hoping for the boat. The C*CK-SUCKER CALLS with 7 2 offsuit! I was laughing. Turn: 2 River: 2 B.S. Oh and by the way, they are not \"dumb players\". The following hand I get raised preflop with 4 5 suited, limp in and flop 2 3 6 raimbow. He checks, I bet $8 and he folds right away. Folds two over-cards but calls with absolute garbage. At the ten player tourney, I have AK off, get raised preflop, call, flop K 9 9. Now I said I was a Poker expert, and because of the Poker player\'s way of playing, I read he had no 9 for raising preflop. So I go all in, fearing an Ace. He thinks for a moment and calls (no flush draw by the way). He flips over J2 offsuit (one of the WORST hands in Poker). He was next to dead. Turn was a Queen and River was a 10, what non-sense! I had countless bad beats of this sort. Many people said I don\'t know how to play but I do. I was winning until Bowmans laid the \"withdrawal penalty\" on me. Coming to think of it most of those shills were always from Istanbul or Ankara. Funny hun? You have 90% of the players from the U.S., Canada and Europe and yet a country that barely has Internet connection and where the religious AND political laws prohibid gambling have so many. Since my cash-out I also had countless set ups. At the heads-up, my opponent all-in with any pair win automatically. So if he has deuces and I have AJ suited, I can only watch my hand collaps. But when I have KK/QQ/TT, etc and go all in and get called with Ace-rag offsuit, first thing to hit the board is an Ace. I have had it! No more Rigged Poker for me! I play Texas Hold \'em Poker, NOT Rigged Poker.

I am short stack, A9 hearts. I raise, guy puts me all in. He has AA. Flop is 10h, 4h 9d. Giving me a flush draw. Turn is 9c, giving me 3 9s. The only car he can beat me with is the case Ace - a 44 to 1 shot. He hit it, sending me home (screaming).

Im playing a 250 dollar min buy in cash game. Im in a late position in a 10 handed game. I look down to see pocket 5\'s. I got about 140 dollars in front of me. There are 4 calls of the 5 dollar initial raise. I say what the hell all-in. It gets all the way over to the 2nd or 3rd guy who called the initial bet of 5. He calls me with pocket queen\'s. After the pot is collected and the cards are turned i realize the bind im in. The flop brings me 53A. Right before the turn i am informed by two of the previous people in the hand that they folded a queen. So i am just estatic. I begin raking in the chips when he hits an ace on the turn and river to give him the aces full. To make a long story short i murdered everyone at the house and took all the money. I think they said something like \"but thats poker,\" and i said, \"not where i come from.\" Where do i come from you ask? Welli will tell you. Its a place where we kill people for administering bad beats. So if you bloody people is fixing to slip me the bad beat online then ill come through that computer screen, and ill rip out your eyes and skull fu#$ you.

I was playing in a $50+4 shorthanded (5 man) sit and go tournament. Top 2 finishers get paid. Three handed with 3000 chips (7500 in play) the small blind raises 300 of his remaing 1500 into me. I reraise him all in with my pocket 9s. He relunctantly calls with 3s. Flop is A109 rainbow. Sure enough turn 3, river 3. I\'d get mad, but having a 0.1% flop for someone that they hit is pretty amazing. I\'ve never had a royal flush in thousands of hours of playing, which I\'m sure has better odds than that. Sure enough I finished in a solid third place, which paid a hefty zero dollars. Sorry no screenshot. Clicked off real fast and walked away from the computer after that one, lol.

These three happened in succession one night. 1) A rebuy tournament after the break ($9,000+ prize pool) I have pocket aces and raise 900 chips (blinds are 100-200). One person calls. Flop comes down Q-9-7. I bet 600 and am called again. Turn makes a board of Q-9-7-3. I bet 450 and my opponent goes all in (about 5000 chips). I have him covered by only a few hundred. It was a little risky, but I called. I do a little cheer when I see I have him beat, pocket aces to pocket jacks. The river is a jack. Pretty much game over for me. When I go all in a little later with Big Slick and a small stack I get busted by 5-4. 2) $11+1 sit and go Four of us left (three get paid out) and we all have more or less the same amount of chips. I have pocket kings and raise substantially. I get one caller. Flop comes down 6-6-Q. My opponent checks and I follow suit. The turn is a king (bingo) for a board of 6-6-Q-K. My opponent then goes all in. Too late, pal, I think to myself as I call. Sure enough, he has 6-J, and his set of 6s is a huge underdog to my Ks-6s boat. I\'ll give you one guess was the river was. That\'s right, a 6. He had me covered and I was out. 3) $11+1 sit and go Wondering why PokerStars rewards bad play a disproportionate amount of the time, I decide to enter one more sit and go. It\'s early and I\'m doing well, up 2000 chips, and I get pocket kings in big blind (30). One person raises to 60 and another calls. I raise to 200 and first raiser folds while the second guy, genius that he is, goes all in. Pocket kings is probably one of only two hands I\'d go all in with pre-flop, so I call him and see he has pocket 4s. It waited until the river, but sure enough I got poker-starred again as a four comes.

Lets set the scene, $30+3 buy in for a 30,000 guaranteed tournament, they have them daily on pacific, about 2 hours in and just outside paid positions, about 120 places i think, i get pocket aces, at this point by the way i was about 20th in the tournament sitting on a table with two of the top 10. anyway, pocket aces, a raise of 20k, out of about 100k, two people call, flop AS, AD, 9D.. oh my sweet beating heart i flopped quad aces, check.. whats that the chip leader is betting into me?, i put him on a flush draw seings as i have all of the aces.. but i dont care as i am dominating a flush, i later find out he had 57D - a flush draw indeed not when the turn and river is 6D 8D str8 flush.. i couldnt belive my eyes.. a runner runner backdoor flush draw, he didnt even know what hit him :*( anyway, i went out there without getting a cent for my hard work. happy pokering..

Tournament: in position I raise pre-flop with A-K diamonds, get reraised, I call. flop comes: Kh 2d, 6d -- great, top pair and nut flush draw. the guy to act first goes all-in I have him slightly out-chipped and this is one away from the money. I decide to call, this guy has been on-tilt and not making good choices. WE flip. I have him killed, He\'s holding pocket queens -- clubs and spades. He\'s got one out. ONE OUT. if the Queen of diamonds hits, i\'ve made my flush... the turn is 2h, I can taste the money... oooh what\'s this? The queen of hearts on the river!? ick. buh bye. he caught it.

Home cash game, pot was 165$, I had bought in for 15$ with blinds $.25 and $.50, and after about 30 minutes of play ran my stach up to 28$. Then this happened: I was in third position, and look down at 4d4c. I smooth call, and so do 3 others, and the big blind checks. The flop comes down Ah 4h 8d, giving me a set. BB checks, and I bet out $1.50. Everyone folds to the BB, who is a really loose-agressive player. He raises me 1.50$, and immediatly I put him on a flush draw, maybe Jack or Queen high. I don\'t want him to draw to it, so I raise him 5$ more, giving him the wrong pot odds to call (31% to hit, 5$ bet into an $11.50 pot). Being the loose player he is, he calls me in a second (strengthening my thought that he is drawing since he called so fast). The turn is the 8h, giving me 4\'s full of 8\'s, and 3 hearts on board. He checked, and I bet 5$. He raised me all in, which was 13$ more. I had him covered by a quarter, and I called almost immediately, knowing my hand was best. To my surprise, he flips over Ah 3c. Before the river came, one kid said he folded an Ace, and 2 other kids say they folded 8\'s, leaving him one out. The Ace of spades. About 2% to get that card. I'm sure you call all guess what the river was.

I had lost to the same guy on four big hands & pots (2 all ins). Two were lost holding a full house, one to a higher flush, and one to a higher 2 pair. Three times he done me on the river and once on the turn. So, now i\'m angry, I reload with a wegde of chips and await my revenge. Dealt pocket 22. I check, flop is 228. I go all in. He calls with pocket 88. Turn is a K. You can guess the damn river! A freaking 8!!! I lose everything again to the same guy. I hate poker!
Down to 10 people in a 50 person tournament. Blinds are $1K and $2K. I am on the button. I look at my cards and am pleased to see pocket A\'s. I raise to $10K the small blind calls everyone else folds. Flop comes Ks, 7d, 10d. Small blind checks I go all in for another $6K and he calls. He shows As Kd. I am way ahead. The turn comes a another diamond and I am afraid of him now catching a diamond flush. Sure enough the river puts 4 diamonds on the board. I am upset and angrily toss my aces into the pot. Then a friend of mine, playing at the same table grabs my aces and turns them over in front of me. I was so upset by seeing that he caught the K high flush that I didn\'t even realize I had the A of diamonds and would have won had I not tossed my cards in the pot. I am not a newbie amateur but was definitely off my game right there. I wasn\'t beat by bad luck or cards I was beat by myself. Moral of the story is to keep your cool and pay attention to your cards.
Live game, 20$ buy in, about 60 people. First hand, I get pocket 10\'s. The blinds are 10-20, I am raise to 50$. Someone calls, the button raises to 200$, first hand remind you. The guys before me calls, I call, and the guy after me calls. Flop is 10-7-2. Guy before me checks, I check, next checks, dealer raises 300$. All three of us call. Turn is a 3 (no flush draw). Check to dealer who bets 400$. Everyone calls again! River comes an Ace. Check to dealer who bets 500$. Two of us call. The guy nexts to me has pocket 7\'s (got his trips), the guy who folded had pocket queens, I had my trip 10\'s, and the ass on the dealer button had pocket Aces, getting his trips on the river. Can you believe this? Four pocket pairs, first hand, 3/4 getting their sets. The aces guy came in 6th for the night; I was out about 6 hands later. :(

dealt pocket jacks(s+c) first hand of a $30+3 sit and go in early position so flat called, 4 others call and the flop comes jh 8d 5c i raise 100 and get one caller, heads up the turn is jack diamonds my opponent checks and trying to milk it i raise 200 he thinks for a while and calls river 7d, my opponent raises 400 and i move all in putting him on nut flush or strait he calls instantly and shows 9 10 of diamonds!! i wish it had happened on a bad beat table i was gutted my four jacks losing to a strait flush! what are the odds??? but i would do exactly the same if it happened again, lightning never strikes in the same place twice, at least i hope it doesn`t!.
Just an observer, but nonetheless an interesting hand... Two players in the hand. Player A UTG all-in, button player calls. Cards flip, A has AA, B has KQs. Flop comes out A-blank-blank and we\'re all talking about another nice rocket win. Turn comes out J, river 10, runner runner for the straight to beat rockets hitting a set on the flop. It was tough to watch.

3 players left 1,000 - 2,000 blinds, fairly even stacks (30, 35k), i\'m big blind, dealt pocket 9s and raise to 5k after dealer folds and SB limps SB calls. Flop A 9 A, SB checks, I bet another 5k, SB raises to 10k (i\'m thinking SWEET!!! this chump has an ace and made a set) i call making him think that maybe I have an Ace and maybe a weak kicker. On the turn comes my 4th 9....Quads... and this guy made a full house and he thinks i\'ve got the same hand. All in, He calls, I quickly turn over my Quads as he cursed . The river, just a formality, right? NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! It\'s the 4th ACE!!!!!

Thats a bad.......wait........I guess thats a good beat. Watch it on liveatbike.com, u got the date so watch the masta school those asshole donkeys
i have an average stack for the table, just over 10x the blinds, i'm on the button and am dealt 55, no raise, i call (admittedly fairly loosely), the flop comes 588 leaving me with a full house 5's full of 8's. The player to my left raises, all fold except one who pushes all (with about double my chips) in i call all in, the player to my left also calls (with about half my chip count).
Hands showing are 83, 99 and 55(me) turn is a 6, river is an 8 leaving me out

Not my bad beat, but.....
B&M Tourney, 9 players at our table --
I'm in seat 4 and there's a nice kid in 3. Pre-flop, there are 3 players left:
Seat 3, 7, 8
The flop comes and it's to #7 -
Seat 7 takes about a lifetime to decide what to do. Finally, she goes all-in. #8 thinks about it for a minute, then mucks.
7 flips her cards towards the muck. We'll say they ended up about 18" from her.
#3 says "Dead Hand. It's my pot."
#7 "I didn't know you were in the hand. You were covering up your cards"
#3 "I WAS NOT! Your hand is dead. You mucked."
Dealer calls the floor over, explains the actions not exactly right, and the floor decides that #7's hand is not dead. The kid calls the all-in (he had her covered about 3-1) and loses.
As the next hand is being dealt, the floor person is still close by. The kid calls her over and asks what constitutes a dead hand. The floor says, "Well, if there had been more cards to come, her hand would have been dead."
Of course, the kid goes half-ballistic. He's all-in the next 4 hands, gets a caller once, and wins the hand.
The fifth hand comes and he's all-in again. I go all-in also, and we get one more caller who has us both covered.
The kid: 6-6
Me: A-Ks (hearts)
Villian: A-Jo
The flop come x-J-x turn-x river-x (all black, of course!)
The kid leaves without a word. I wish Ace-Jack-off good luck and leave in 13th, 4 places from the money.......

Playing in our local casino tourney, 30mins into the tourney I get pocket 10's. In second position I raise, everyone folds but the small blind. Flop comes 10/A/A. Small blind checks, I think hey I flopped a boat. I bet 1,000, he calls turn is a blank, river is a ten. Wow I have quad 10's. He checks, I bet 3,000 he goes over the top goes all in. Looking at the board he should have a boat hey but I have four of kind. I have the nuts, so I call, I turn over my pocket tens to show four of kind he turns over his pocket aces to show four of kind aces. SICK....

5 card draw, $1/$2 Pot Limit, 4 players. Went in with $50 cash. After 4 or 5 hands, I have $53.00 - slow bettors. Get dealt an ACE high Heart Flush - soft raise got the nice reraise of $7 or $8 or so I wanted. I raised back a few more and he comes back again - my whole $53 is now in and I am gitty with delight. Pat and he's pat - figure a straight. Nope, Full House 6s over 3s - nice hand overall but two pat hands in a 4 handed game?!?!? Cheated? Hell no - what would be the advantage of cheating me out of 50 bucks when they make tens of millions on the rakes - c'mon people - get real. If you drop a ten spot down a rain gutter and worry about getting it out, DO NOT PLAY POKER!! You can't afford it. GL all. Have fun.

3 players left in the tournament. I'm on big blind $80, player on the button folds, other player limps in. I raise the pot $200 with wired nines. Small blind calls the raise. Flop comes out A 8 4, small blind checks. Knowing that my opponent would bet out on the Ace, I know my 9s are good so I push all in with around $500 in chips. Opponent calls with Q2 offsuit. Turn is dead, river is a Queen. That ended my tournament.
I hold 6c8c in the bb with no preflop raise.
Flop: 4d5c7c
UTG pushes allin, I call early in a 10 person $55 SNG
He flips over a 5d5h. I flip over the nut straight with open ended straight flush draw.
Turn: Jc
River: Jd
He hit runner runner for a full house against my straight.

even though it is odd he hit a runner runner pair to get his full house he also had 8 other outs on the turn to hit a pair or quads. Still a bad beat though.

I Was Attending A No Limit Hold'em Game At The Bally's In Atlantic City. I Had Been There For A While And Had Increased My Stack From 300-Nearly 2000. So, I Started Playing A Little Looser. I Was The Button And Out Of A Table Of Ten Probably About Eight Had Called Up To Me. My Hand Was 10-7 Spades So I Raised The Bet To $100. Following My Bet Only 4 Players Called. The Flop Came, Showing 8,9 And Another Rag, Two Of Which Being Spades. The Table Was Checked Around To Me And I Made A Bet Of $400 Which Was Met By One Caller. On The Turn A Jack Came Out I Pushed All In. Which Was Quickly Called. I Would Like To Add I Was In The 10th Position And He Was in the 1st With His Value Chips Hidden. He Turned Over His Two Cards Exposing A 10 And A Queen And Begain Counting Out The Rest Of His Stacks, Leaving Me With 200. To This Day Memory Of This Hand Makes me Furious!

I was playing a 180 player sng for about 2 hours and 20 minutes. I was the short stack along with one other guy both with just over 5k in chips. We were on the bubble and the other guy is just to my right. I was in the bb with A A. It folds around to the small blind (also short stacked with me) and he pushes me all in. I quickly call he flips A Q suited spades. The flop comes all rags with two spades. The turn Q and the river Q.

10/20 limit ring game. I have AA in late position. Raise to 20 and get reraised by BB, everyone else goes away, I then cap the raise. Flop is AKK. BB bets, I raise, we reraise to cap. Turn is a 2. Same bets happen, raises to cap. River is 2. He bets I call just in case of KK. Nope, he has 22. The odds of that are astronomical. This was bout 2 years ago and needless to say, haven't played there since. The other player would not chat back with me at all. Maybe it wasn't even a player at all, but maybe a program.

Here's mine: It was a live cash game. I was seated left of the dealer. I was first to bet. I had pocket Aces. I raised to $45. The next guy to bet was on the right of the dealer. He called. The guy in seat six raised to All-In - about $280 - so I called, probably too quickly. The guy to the right of the dealer folded, and because he was the last one in the hand before heads-up, he showed his pocket Jacks. So... it was All-In: me and Seat Six. He turns up pocket Kings. The flop came Jack, Jack, Ace. The guy who had folded the Jacks, leaned past the dealer and kept saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" to me. At first I didn't realize why; I did not realize he had folded, since he had turned up his Jacks, and I had just lost the bad beat, which was around $6,000. I did win the hand, however.

I've only seen a couple of "real" bad beats described here, mostly it's lucky hands getting beat by marginal hands. Pocket rockets getting beat by 7-8 off is a bad beat......the bogata Royal flush is BS, no way that happens.....that's 9 out of 13 Spades in play assuming no one else folded any? Riiiiiiight.

Let's see..$120 buy-in...227 players, $22,700 prize pool... final 8 tables with money starting at 32(?) players.
Blinds at 800/1600/300
I'm in late position with about 33K in chips. Another small stack with similar chips stack raises from early position to about 4500 and everyone folds to me and I look down and find 99 in the hole. I consider re-raising but call hoping to flop a set and if not the guy was a bit tight and I thought He had overcards. I could take it from him post flop if undercards come on the flop.
the Flop brings 9-Q-Q. Beautiful! I flopped a boat!
He checks and I check right behind him.
The turn brings the 9!! I have QUADS!
now the board is showing 9-9-Q-Q
And I'm praying he has A-Q, K-Q or Something similar as he is drawing dead excluding the unlikely Q-Q in the hole for him.
He checks again on the turn and I check again trapping.
the river brings crap and its all over from here.
he bets 8000 and I take my time about re-raising him like I got a 9 and I think its good.
I shove after about 2 minutes and I get an insta-call with cards flying at me showing me K-Q for a boat Q's over 9's.
I don't even flinch. I flip my cards over with one 9 covering the other and do a slow slide revealing the other 9  you shoulda heard the explosion at the table. LOL! OH CHIT HE'S GOT QUADS!
I never said "I" lost to quads.

At the end of the day the math in poker is all mathematical probabilities and not certainties.
My Final hand in a 323 person $120 buy in tournament.
Full table.
I'm very short stacked in early-middle position with the table big stack in BB.
I have a little over 10K in chips and blinds are 800/1600/300. UGH!
I pick up AQ O/S and raise to 5500 looking for a customer to shove on and everyone fold to BB. ;) great.. He looks down and sees 77 and calls.
now the flop misses me but it's J-10-9!! I have a double-gut shot, needing a K or and 8 to pull it out. I wasn't absolutely sure of what he had at the moment but he shoved. I cant fold this at this point so I say " I have to call this, sir." and shove the rest of my chips in.
I show my AQ and he flips his 77. I couldn't believe I was in such a good shape. 14 outs to win the hand. 3 Aces, 3 Queens, 4 Kings or 4 eights!
52% post flop...
the dealer of course is holding 27 cards. 14 theoretically are mine to win the hand.
the Turn brings a 10! the board has J-10-10-9 :D nice!
now any A, K, Q, J, 9 or 8 wins the hand! 20 outs!
the dealer is now holding 25 cards and 20 of them help me win... theoretically...
40%
the River brings a 3. it's over... :( I got it all in with the best possible drawing hand and missed. it's ok. over the long run I win a lot of those but this one... with SO many outs... it was a bit of a surprising miss with so many outs.
poker is all mathematical probabilities and not certainties.
