Hansen has won 3 WPT events ith a few hundred players, and many of them newbies to the game. Harrington has won a main event braclet had a final table before the win and 2 final talbes since the win in the 2 largest fields in all of poker. Hansen is an undisiplined fuck who holds stupid cards against a big raise and often gets lucky. He's also not very aggresive, Very loose, but not aggresive. Dan Rules.

this pisses me off. have a long biography about this guy. i love emulating my play after him. being a tight agressive player gives you a lot of respect. and i love the respect when i bet.

Great player, but strikes me as an oddball. I bet he tipped the dealer $50 when he won the WSOP.

Gah why do so many people forget that Dan has made FOUR WSOP ME final tables, not three. He was there with Chan in 1987.

And shame on this site for the paltry bio above. Harrington has not only done it in big tournaments, both recent and old, he was also an excellent live game player. He's strictly about tournaments now but this guy was great at both. He has no weaknessess.

I've read just about every book written on No Limit and think Dan Harrington's is the best. Very well organized. I've read it three times and still learn something every time. Where can I write to him to let him know?

he's about the only true player. Him and brunson. The rest suck.

harrington's call in his 95 win with a pair of 8's was aweseome and taught me so much. Yes, I know it was top pair. But if you can listen to his rational through all the noise of the winning moment, you hear him explain that the bet by his opponent looked like an over bet considering the situation and how the pre-flop betting went. Now, that's how you read a player.

this guy has made the final table 4 times 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th...i dont care what ppl say about loose agressive play this is a better record than even chan 4 total final table appearances, sure he may have won twice (like 15 years ago) this guy has been one of the best players 4 the last 20 years or so

Hansen better than Harrington? Please. WSOP main event success is more telling than the 300 player WPT player fields. Hansen is good at what he does and is very deceptive. But I'd be shocked if he ever won a WSOP bracelet.
