ESPN has said that poker IS a sport
 

on "Around The Horn" they where saying if hockey was going to come back with its normal hype. then they started to say that poker was a bigger SPORT then hockey. i myself do not really consider poker a sport but it is the best game ever.

I don't consider it to be a sport. I consider it to be a skill game. It is also a competition which is what sports really is. So there is a connection.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider it much of a sport....I would consider it a great hobby that some of the best get to play as their job....which I'm sure we would all love to do!
