[Aces N Devils]

Has anyone actually tried printing (designing) their own cards? I have been working on a design and have a decent template for photoshop but the tricky part isn't creating them, but printing them. What weight cardstock should I buy? And is it even possible to buy a laquer to finish them? I found a webpage that talks about waxing them but I dont see how that could hold up. Anyone??????
