I have always looked at Hold Em as an easier game because you see 71% of your cards after the flop (5 out of 7 cards). Just by sticking to by-the-book pre-flop play you can be a solid player.
It's harder to conceptualize a hand where your cards come one at a time. Also, the hi/lo aspect of Omaha leads that game to be more complicated.
I'm not sure if this is true though.
