what difference does it make whether the guy was playing a low limit or high limit game. Just because he plays professionally does not mean he cannot occassionally enjoy a low limit game. That is incredibly childish to think that it makes him less of a player simply because he doesnt want to play 50/100 that particular day. The guy that keeps posting about getting on or off nutz has only one agenda. Bash anyone that doesnt agree with him. Again, extremely immature and childish to say the least.

You are either ignorant or racist if you can't see that Darden possesses real talent. And it takes talent to see talent, and if you don't see it then you are a weekend player, don't forget where you parked! You don't make it to the final table of the WPT and finish 45th out of who knows how many in the WSOP, and win a bracelet if you rely on big hands only. And being a World Series of Poker champion? It's not about winning it all, anybody can do that, it's about being consistent.(P.s. He wasn't calling with a 4,5 suited, he was calling with a flush draw, he knew Haverson didn't raise pre-flop on two clubs, so it didn't matter what the numbers on his cards were.) Notice, I did not offend anybody directly and have not called anybody out. Late

Yeah, he plays way too tight when he is short stacked. He's good, but I can never imagine him winning a tourney though.

I played with this guy at the Harrahs in atlantic city. We were playing a 2000-4000 game of stud, and he was whipping our butts. I ended up with a thousand more than i came with just becuase he folded when i went all in. he is a great player who you will hear allot more about as the years go on.

Hey iveyfan05, he OWNS nightclubs for a living! I'm not saying he's a bad player, he just catches cards consistently. How could you possibly lose in that situation? Ivey's a great player. Paul Darden comes nowhere close to his skill.

...and by the way, cash games are moslty luck and patience. He's not as good at tourneys because he has no balls when it comes to NL tournament style play. It's a little easy to buy in to a $25K tourney when you are already rich from owning nightclubs and you have $25K to spare. Do your homework, iveyfan05!

he owns nightclubs, yes ,most if his income comed from poker..the sentence "he catches cards consistently " is a joke....good players know how to win with bad cards....i never said he was a phil ivey...he may never be that good.all im saying is hesa pretty good player

Howard Lederer folded AQ of hearts before the flop against this guy's raise. He must be good.

Well of course he is. But I'm just saying that he's on the pretty lucky end of the sepectrum. Pros like Chip Reese for example, are on the fairly unlucky when it comes to tournament poker. The game's a little easier when you get the cards. He makes good plays when he gets them though.

i just think this is all Very funny. half the people here complain about how "fake" and "lucky" paul daraden is. to this i may add, how many tournaments have they won? how many final tables have they made?do they actually Make money off of poker? not many people can say they do. Paul Daraden may not be on Every final table, but he is a good player and can probably take EVERY CHIP of all the people in this thread that have criticized him for being "lucky" or average at best.

Moose. I was on four final tables this weekend on pokerstars and I am consistently ranked on that site. I make money playing. Of course I never commented on Paul's play, just his ass, so disregard this message.

Paul darden is far from a bad player. u say he is lucky, i would say unlucky with his infamous 45 suited. and also, he has made many WPT final tables and he is a good, aggressive player. i have also never seen such a gangsta player, lol.

What really annoys me about this guy is his apparent strength - "play my opponenets hand, not mine. i know what my cards are etc". Ive only ever seen him at one final table, and he was playing his own cards whenever he got KA or a pair basically. Just got nice cards whenever he increased his stack basically, only when others also got almost as good cards like QA for example. Like someone else said, its easy to do well when u get the cards.

Yeah. I'm gonna be dealt AA while u get 27o, now try and beat me the player - who cares about the cards! Sure bet high pre-flop, i'll raise it and u call. Flop is A J 6 and u represent an ace, good luck with that! I'll fucking bust your "play the man" ass so bad. Because i have the cards, nothing on earth u can do to win that pot.
