it depends what the high card is. if the board was A-2-4-5-K then its a split pot because you both have a straight Ace to Five. Now if the board is say 2-9-J-10-4 and you have 8-Q and he has K-Q he wins because he has a straight to the King and you only have one to the Queen. IF you both have the same high it dosent matter if he has pocket aces it is a split pot.

Your an admin you should know better!! if it was to a 5 it had to be a split because he couldnt have one to the 4 so they must have both had a 5 high!

You both lose because you each have a set of 9's, which means an automatic disqualification in No Limit

no straight in poker history has ever been made without a 5 or a 10. that is why 5/10 is called the keys. so that being said, it was a chop if they both have a straight! there obviously is a 5 on board..

Not enough information has been provided here. It doesn't matter who holds what cards, if you both hold the same straight it is a tie. Otherwise, higher straight wins.

I am going to say tie because the board was AKQJ10.I was the dealer.

It would be helpful in the future when asking questions like this you state:
1. The GAME being played. We shouldn't have to deduce what game you were playing. 2. If Hold 'EM/Omaha type games what the ENTIRE board was. 3. What your hole cards were. 4. What the villain's hole cards were. Then you'd most likely get an answer in one post. |
