When to bluff?

I have a hard time with bluffing online. It just seems to me that things that usually work live don't work online. Does anyone have any strategies for bluffing online. I know sometimes it's all about the timing, but what about bet size and how to represent a hand believably?

Never bluff when I sit at a table. When it is only after several hands have been played. I find the answers to all questions at this point. I know that when I do the game will not be considered a bluff like buying a solid game with a strong hand. You can see several other players when they did fancy the cliff received call.
