Help Identifying German poker chips

Hello all. On a recent trip to the thrift store I found these (bakelite/catalin?) poker chips in two metal cannisters. Each canister is marked "Germany" on the bottom. Can anyone tell me if they have ever seen poker chips like these or what the symbol on the top of the canisters means? Also might someone have a ball park figure on what they might be worth. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
