POKER INFO - PROILE - Ted Forrest

He's nobody, just a man who won THREE WSOP bracelets this year.

He likes to smoke crack and blow big $$ in the craps pit. Also was a drug dealer. Not sure if he still is.

^ Ok, well clearly I didn't mean to do that I apologize. He is a straight up gambler and poker genius, he is very aggressive and I believe Phil wrote about him as his most highly regarded player. From the one time I saw him at the WPT championship from the first season he was absolutely fearless and could play weak hands like they were aces.

The only reason Ted Forest doesn't have many WSOP bracelets is because he hardly plays in tournements. He is a cash game specialist. Ted is a relentless warrior at the table, and won't back down from anyone. He is also very good at reading people. Did you guys see him call that guy out with a pair of 2s in the WSOP 7 card stud? I mean what a call!! Ted Forest will for sure go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game , but not as good as Ungar.

Not very many WSOP bracelets? Try six on for size. Three came this year, the other three back in the early 90's but they apparently got ripped off. This guy is a poker freak, any game, anytime.

This guy is truly great, He cut out when he made 3 bracelets in one year in the 90's, he could've had a lot more if you think about it

To the guy who said not as good as Ungar, I would take Stu in a tournament but Ted in a cash game.

If I am at a final table I do not want to see Ted Forrest. He can read just about anyone like a book. Winning poker is a combination of skill and luck, and the great players have maximized the skill part of the equation. That's what Ted does, and the only reason he ever loses is due to luck.

Hands down the most feared player in the world. ted does not play tournaments and he just showed up and scored two bracelets this year. If you see this guy show up at a cash game or at a table you're playing at... CASH OUT and run for the exits.

I used to watch him play freez out on the living room floor for a 10.00$ pot in the early eighties, he was fearless even then.

Poker skills are phenominal, but has a tendancy to back losing players and businesses. Another player ive personally seen up a million in one session.

Ted is a amazing player, he likes to make sly plays that are really remarkeable that not many players could do.

Ted, IMHO, is the second-greatest cash-game player in the world behind the legendary Chip Reese. He is also probably the greatest Razz player of all time, and certainly the best right now, although he rarely gets to show off his amazing skill in this game since the only time one ever sees Razz on TV is during one episode per year of ESPN's World Series coverage. Which I suppose is fair, since the game is rarely spread anywhere - although they play it for high-stakes sometimes at the Bellagio and a couple of the larger California poker rooms like Commerce. Although he is primarily a cash-game player, anyone who wins 3 WSOP bracelets in the same year obviously possesses some tournament skills as well, to say the least. Just an overall great poker player.
