Recommendations: Tournament Software

What recommendations does everyone have for software to use for my next tournament? I've seen http://pokertournamentmanager.com/index.aspx but seems pricey and not sure if its worth paying for. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'm just in the process of publishing an Excel spreadsheet that works as a clock and tournament manager. It has the unique ability to match an existing blinds schedule (several are built-in) to the chips you have available. You just enter the chip info, select the schedule you want to emulate, and click a button. Of course, you need to enter the payouts, etc...

My site is listed in my signature. Check out the trial version. It's fully functional, but the rounds are fixed at 2 minutes.

I'm looking for feedback from as many people as I can get.

My site, Blind Valet, is able to take your parameters (# of players, desired running time, chip denominations, etc.) and create a blind structure. After creating your structure, you can just click on Launch Tournament Clock and a flash based tournament clock will manage your blinds throughout the tournament with signals as the blinds increase.

I have just added the clock functionality, so try it out and let me know what you think.

I have a new site/service that is built around group security/privacy and functionality. Comes with custom blinds schedules, tournament timers, location manager, email group/game invites, player stats/history and much more.

You can view the full feature list @ http://www.housepokerstats.com/features

If you have any questions, shoot me an email.

Thanks,

My suggestion is...

The Tournament Director found at http://www.thetournamentdirector.net.
I have used it for about two and a half years now. I use it to run charity events with about 75 players. It has worked great for me for running the tournament. BEST PART, $25.00! Well worth it.

Then I use http://www.statsgenie.com to manage my leagues. I run a free-to-play bar game series and the charity events. I have found this software program to be very user friendly and cost effective@ It's FREE!

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Yes, TD is brilliant - very full of features - we have been using it for our home game for a while now.

If you've got an iPhone, iPod Touch or a BlackBerry, you might like our Poker Buddy. There's a full feature list on the website - in a nutshell it's powerful, portable and cheap (currently $5 or local equivalent).

The iPhone version is on the iTunes App Store, and the BlackBerry version is on the BlackBerry App World as well as our website at: http://origin8.com/pokerbuddy/index_bb.php

If you try it out, let us know what you think!

A good option if you don't want to spend any money is www.ddpoker.com . You can't track players, but it is a good poker clock, plus there are a lot of other features to program such as odds calculator, game practice, etc.
