Why poker?

My first entry onto this site. I'm sure most poker players at one time or another have thought about "quitting"; poker when things don't seem to be going particularly fantastic. That was my overview last month or so, and have been reflecting on it since then. I thought to myself on many occasion since, "Why poker?"; Why not blackjack, just not even play at all? Then the obvious answer keeps coming back; because it's a great challenge, and a game with many facets. It's math, it's psychology, it's people interaction, and it's a job all in one. You don't require a degree, or "training" (Lessons, though, come with the territory. or anything of the sort.

Anything that can challenge me that much, and keep me coming back for more, I\'m game. Deal me in, baby.

Hi all. I play poker casually and I read up on the fundamentals online. I thought I'd try going to a casino and playing some 1/2 with $100.
