So I am going to be getting a game going soon...
I am planing out the starting chip stacks and blinds. Does this seem reasonable? Blinds will go up every 15 minutes, 5min break each hour. Max 9 ppl, rebuys the first hour:
12 x white (25) = 300 x9 ppl playing = 108 chips 12 x red (50) = 600 x9 ppl playing = 108 chips 6 x blue (100) = 600 x9 ppl playing = 54 chips 3 x green (500) = 1500 x9 ppl playing = 27 chips 2 x black (1000) = 2000 x9 ppl playing = 18 chips 5000 in starting chips blinds are 25/50 50/100 75/150 100/200 150/300 200/400 250/500 300/600 400/800 50a 500/1000 50a 600/1200 50a 700/1400 50a 900/1800 100a 1100/2200 100a 1300/2600 100a 1500/3000 100a 2000/4000 200a 2500/5000 200a 3000/6000 200a 3500/7000 200a 4000/8000 500a 5000/10000 500a 6000/12000 500a 7000/14000 500a |

With antes it will probably end after about 3 hours. Up til that point the structure looks ok. Afterwards the blind levels are a bit wacky. Typically 7x, 9x, 11x, 13X levels are not used. If you look at WSOP or WPT structures you will never see these types of levels.
Also, typically when you add in antes, you leave the blinds the same for that level. For a 3 hour T5000 tournament with 9 players I would do something like this: Blind Structure Level Small Blind Big Blind Antes 1 25 50 - 2 50 100 - 3 75 150 - 4 100 200 - 5 150 300 - 6 150 300 25 7 200 400 50 8 250 500 50 9 300 600 75 10 400 800 100 11 600 1200 100 12 800 1600 200 See structure as created by Blind Valet Also you probably don't need the 50 or 1000 chips for a T5000. -JD |
