What r the odds of hitting a gutshot Royal Flush?
I was playing in a nl 1-2 ring game today and was dealt QJof hearts. The flop came Qc 10h Ah the Kh came on the turn..what were the odds of me hitting this hand? I actually won about 350 bucks on the hand.....

The odds are pretty slim.
That had to be nice. I don't have your answer, but I'd thought I'd comment anyway.

Well, look at it this way: You are looking for only 1 card out of a possible 47 unseen cards. Your odds of hitting it on the turn are 1 out of 47 or roughly 2%. Chances of getting it with two cards to come are closer to 4% or one out of 24.

I assume it was 47 - to - 1 since there are 47 unseen cards.
Now a runer-runner Royal Flush (is there anything harder to do?) would be 1,081-to-1 I believe. (47/2 * 46/1). |
