You might not have much of a choice

If your looking to play NL, MOST casinos with poker rooms have $1/$2 games. That's the lowest I have come across so far. That was actually the limit at which I played my first few cash games. You'll most likely run into two types of players: good players that are just looking to play casually at a lower limit and people like yourself that are new to cash games that just want to say they played Hold'em at a casino.

The next limits you will find are $2/$5, which can get a tad pricey for new players in my opinion.

I would recommend playing some .25/.50 games with friends before you hit the real tables.
