Ten of us are thinking about playing a weekly one table tournament for a $100 buy in. After one year the $12,000 will be given to an overall winner to be used to play in a major $10,000 buy in tourney. The extra $2,000 used for trvel costs. What can you recommend as a fair point system to use to determine an overall winner after the one year?

In my opinion, the best way to distribute the points would be to create a payout structure for each tournament exactly the same as what the cash payouts would be. Then add them up at the end of the year.
