- Let's see, I moved to Vegas when I was 9 years old, and that was also the same time my dad starting teaching me poker. I eventually started playing all the time online for play money, and begged my dad to let me play for real, and he let me play in 1 tournament, hoping that I'd learn that it's harder than it is so I wouldn't want to play anymore...I ended up placing 3rd, which shocked my father as his plan backfired. I've been playing ever since. I've played for real money plenty of times online but have never actually took it as seriously as I plan to now. I deposited $200 into FullTilt when I was 15, which was quite a lot for me since I did not have a job (still don't, but looking). I build that up somewhere between $600-700 in about a few weeks of playing. Until I then hit my lifetilt, something very personal happened which affected me every way possible and I also lost everything in my bankroll in about 2 days. On the positive side of that incident, I learned how to control my emotions and it also made me 100x more disciplined.
Currently, I live in Texas. I'm on the look for a job so I can once again fund my bankroll. This time around, I'll take it as serious as any career should be, and I'll be playing, learning, and everything I can do to make my future happen the way I have it planned.
