Chris Bigler, born in 1949 in Zurich, Switzerland, is a professional poker player, based in Las Vegas, Nevada with total live tournament winnings exceeding $1,300,000, including six WSOP cashes and seven WPT cashes.
Bigler was a businessman before he became interested in poker in 1997 while on a trip to Las Vegas. After the trip he decided to get serious about the game and read many poker books to learn the fundamentals. He quickly made the final table at the 1999 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and finished in 5th place, earning $212,420. He is the only Swiss player to make the final table of the WSOP main event. In 2001, he then sold his business in Switzerland in order to become a professional poker player.
Most people know him from the two final tables he made during the first season of the World Poker Tour (WPT), where he finished 5th in one tournament and 2nd to Paul Darden in another. He has also recorded respectable finishes in the Professional Poker Tour (PPT) and the World Heads-Up Poker Championship.
