Chris Karagulleyan

Chris Karagulleyan, born 1968 in Beirut, Lebanon, is a professional poker player now living in California. Before becoming a poker player, he worked as a taxi driver and as a baker. As of 2009, his total live tournament winnings exceed a million dollars.

His biggest accomplishment was his 1st place finish in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold 'Em tournament during season one of the World Poker Tour (WPT), where he impressively beat aggressive player Hon Le to win the tournament and a $258,000 first prize.

almost as bad as Eric Arreca, then again, nobody is as bad as eric arreca

getarealjob on August 23, 2005

Yeah the dude blows goats. He was all "Im the best"> What a loser. Imagine after Doyle won his 10th bracelet saying "I'm the best". Yeah Chris, you are the best... except for every other player listed on this site including Bobby Varkonyi

Bud Karagulean on August 8, 2005

I heard he's itchin' err twitchin' to get another WPT title.

Unregistered on August 1, 2005

Actually "The Corporation - Will", he beat Kathy's KA with QQ

Observer on July 11, 2005

Trivia - This guy twitches once when hes bluffing, twice when hes got the nuts.

Unregistered on May 31, 2005

he won the 2003 L.A. Poker Classic and he gets a profile on here. I've never seen this guy win another tournament. I can't stand this twitching bastard and his over confidence.

Dirk Diggler on May 25, 2005

Why does this guy always twitch his eyebrows? Like hes got an uncontrollable nerve above his eyes.

Observer on May 21, 2005

This guys is weird I say...he is a twitcher, drives me crazy.

PIGHEAD on March 8, 2005

Whats with the eyes!!!!!!!!

Dirk Diggler on March 1, 2005

his play was ridiculous. He was raising 7% of his chips with J3 off suit. Agressive play helps heads up, but come on. His play was ridiculous and he only won through luck. Hon Le is much more experienced, but caught a terrible run of cards. Chris should be congratulated for winning the tournament, but not deified.

realpoker on November 11, 2004

Chris played well. What is wrong with strategically delaying your action in a poker tournament? Becoming a rock when you are chip leader is smart, you are advancing your likelihood of placing in the money without any risk.

youre an idiot on October 12, 2004

Chris is a very lucky player. After beating Kathy's A K with his A A he just turned into a massive rock until he went heads up. When Chris said " I knew i would win because I'm the best" ... I knew I would never see him at another final table in my life his weak poker skill is no match for any real player. HE WILL NEVER MAKE ANOTHER FINAL TABLE. He doesn't "change gears like nobody else" he was just waiting to finish in the top money because he had a monster chip stack. Once again he will never make another final table, WPT or WSOP.

The Corporation - Will on August 10, 2004

This guy is a rubbish player. He just got lucky when he played Hon Le

Bolt on August 8, 2004

He's a great player. I could't believe how he went from rock to lava against Hon Le. But if he was really losing 30-40k in fifteen minutes when he was starting out, I don't think he was really a cab driver--he's just some pretty rich kid. He'd be a good candidate for Queer Eye for the casino guy, if he's as gay as he seems. That would be a saving grace.

kyle on August 1, 2004

maybe you'll take legends again this year bro

redraw on July 21, 2004

hey chris if thats true about your heart im sorry. hon lee is a quick study, all in of ill come over the top of you thats all he knows. Hon Lee should write his poker book called all in sucka.

ron on July 10, 2004

hon le on June 28, 2004

Chris made Hon Lee look like a hack.

herman007 on June 24, 2004

Again with the violence "ibiz," Canada rules, Lebenon druels.

jon on June 6, 2004

He only wins because no one can tell when he's bluffing because he's twitches like he's got a rash he can't reach. Every time they show him i call 911 because I think he's having a convulsion.

Buckeyedog on May 20, 2004

Chris Karagulleyen has killer instincts and the impeccable finesse to take everyone's chips right out from under their noses. Nothing says CLASS like a strong, solid poker player in an Armani suit. LEBANESE POWER!!!!

ibizakitty on May 16, 2004

Hon Le owns this guy...what's all the fuss?

Jammer on May 12, 2004
