Mimi Rogers is an American movie actress and competitive celebrity poker player.
Born in 1956, Rogers was born Miriam Spickler in Coral Gables, Florida. Her father, a civil engineer, was Jewish and mother Episcopalian. She became a member of the Church of Scientology, but later left.
She married her first husband, Jim Rogers, in 1977 and divorced in 1980. Her second husband, to many people's surprise, was Tom Cruise. They were married from 1987 until 1990. In 2003, she married producer Chris Ciaffa.
Since her debut on "Hill Street Blues" and a breakthrough role opposite Tom Berenger in Ridley Scott's Someone to Watch Over Me. Since then, her career has been a mix of independent films and Hollywood films.
She appeared in sci-fi work, such as the film Lost in Space (1998) and a recurring role as agent Mulder's former flame in the TV series, The X-Files (1998-1999). She appeared as Liz Hurley's secret agent mum in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), and played the mother of Jen Lindley (Michelle Williams) in the final season of Dawson's Creek (1998).
She played Jim Morrison's photographer in Oliver Stone's The Doors, had a role in an episode of HBO's "Tales From the Crypt", and another role as Barbara Streisand's supportive sister in The Mirror Has Two Faces. In 2006 she starred in a Fox sitcom, The Loop.
She posed nude and appeared on the cover of the March 1993 edition of Playboy magazine.
Rogers began playing poker as a teenager, and took up competitive poker in 2003. In 2004, she finished in the money at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars' main event No-Limit Texas hold 'em tournament in San Jose, California. She is also on the board of directors of the World Poker Tour. In July 2006, she cashed in 33rd place in the $1,000 Ladies' No-Limit Hold 'em WSOP event, earning $5,132.
Rogers, along with Vince Van Patten, is one of the celebrities who plays on Hollywood Poker, which is run in conjunction with Ongame Network.
