Born in 1964 in Queens, David Plastik is a poker player that has not yet made the A-list but has cashed in many major tournaments. His lifetime earnings are more than $1.7 million.
Currently residing in, Las Vegas, he graduated from the University of Hartford and spent the 1980s as one of the most sought-after rock-and-roll photographers in the business. After he was done partying with rock stars, he went to work for his father's textile business. While working there, Plastik discovered poker. Even though he wasn't successful from the start, he worked hard to improve his game while still holding onto his non-poker paycheck. After saving up some money, he finally decided to go pro.
Although he has no WSOP bracelets, he has 29 cashes and total WSOP earnings of $351,095. His best cash was a $93,610 payout for finishing in 7th place in the 2006 $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em w/re-buys event.
He has had the same kind of success at the WPT - he has no WPT titles, but has still had many cashes (6) spread out between seasons 1 and 7, including bubbling on the TV table during season 1.
