Lou Krieger

Lou Krieger is one of the most popular authors of poker books and has written hundreds of columns about poker strategy for a variety of magazines as well as his personal blog. Many of the poker players who entered the poker world during the past 10 years built their skills by reading his books. Casino Journal Magazine named him one of the most influential gaming writers of the past 100 years - an honor that had been accorded to only five poker authors. He has been playing poker since childhood and can be found playing in the card rooms in Southern California.

His first book Hold’em Excellence: From Beginner to Winner, was published in 1995. It is one of the best introductory books for low-limit Hold 'Em players. i thought lou was full of crap when i started, but only after i played a year or two did i see him as a voice of reason. Ive read everything he has written.
